When a player commits a professional foul they don't even get a yellow card and should get a red.
It spoils the game as if a player is certain to score the other player can just foul me and get away with a free kick and stay on the pitch.

there should be more carding anyway for pulling. To prevent people holding R1+[] the whole match.

yea when I play teams with high balance, such as Arsenal, it's very annoying. They injure my players, break every single attack and the ref doesn't even call it. It's annoying. Also the advantage rule needs to be improved. Many times I'd give a 1-on-1 throughpass and the passer would get fouled on and called. Or when a man gets slide-tackled from behind in the box and screws up his shot because of that.

The game can definitely improve carding-wise.

Yeah i hate that... I have only seen the CPU get a red card twice since playing pes4 since it came out... and yellow cards only a dozen or so times as well

i think playing with strict referees would be better especially as it would be like the real EPL at the mo lol

every naughty,action killing tackle is red one...

very good referee,especially for dudes that play this art game only with tackles and killing the game...and thats really lots of them doing online...

some referees are useless, i got actually pushed off the ball in the opposition box and not even a foul then they wen tthe other end and scored. Seems like real life to me !

The whole referee situation needs reviewing if you ask me. The advantage rule is implemented poorly, and some of the fouls given/not given are just stupid, but the main thing that baffles me is the carding system, with minimal red cards dished out, and very few bookings to the opposition.

They are trying to make this game more and more realistic and yet they allow this kind of **** go through. The card system was the same in PES4 and now in PES5 demo. If you foul a player thats gone through you get a straight red card even if it's not a sliding tackle. Yet I've seen only one red card given to the cpu. This is a basic rule of the football and yet it's not in this game.
I know they try to make the game harder but still this sucks big time. 1 yellow card per 10-15 games is not realistic...

Anyway the improvements this year make this game much better overall and even if I get quite angry from time to time I still love the game...

the problem is highlighted in online play when a player is fouled by the last man and is gonna score but that player is given nothing. You seem more cheated if its against a actual person than the computer.

Heh, remember lot of peeps complained that there were too many bookable offences and red cards in Pes3? I guess it's one of the most difficult things to balance just right in a football sim.

Well if one of the sidebacks gets yellowcarded i always try to play more in his side and i usually get him carded again and in PES 5 there will be no mercy and playing against 10 will be quite an advantage
