problems after Season 1

Hey guys,

i don't know about you guys, but do you guys get frustrated with the ridiculous amount of transfers that occur during the pre season after Season 1?

Its like clubs like Blackburn, etc..are signing 5 to 6 players, some unknown youngsters, and overrated Scottish players especially from Hibs and Dundee, with some many 17s and 18s. The most ridiculous are the players from Sweden and South America like Brazil and Colombia, with so many players with 19s and 20s, and they cost only like 250k or wat not. Eg, Tobias Hysen, ratings ranging from 17 to 20s..

The transfers are simply not realistic. I dont even see any big transfers involving major players, except for Barcelona, which sign Cambiasso n Tevez, for 11m each. I have placed these players under indispensable and not for sale, and they still moved.

I wish there was a saved gamed editor out there, i remember once which existed for CM, which enable us to edit the clubs of the players. Is there anyone out there for FM2006? In that way, we could alter the transfers according to the rumors and thus making the game more realistic, eg Simao to Liverpool or Sheva to Chelsea..


Another thing, after the World Cup, teams which perform badly, eg..Holland N germany sacked their coaches and in their place, Frank Rijkaard and Felix Magath were install respectively. Apparently, co-management doesnt exist..eg..Gus Hiddink, PSV + Australia...both these managers resign from their present club!!!!

All these, just make me wanna lose all e fun in continuing the 2nd season. The 1st season was a blast, but with all these riduculous moves and coaches resigning, it just make the game so unreal at times. I hope SI, wld improve on these aspect......I wish!!!

It isn't as riducilous look at Porthsmouth for example buying a whole new squad in January.
And the fact that coaches resign when they get an NT job isn't strange aswell. I mean have you ever seen a coach managing a big NT and a big club at the same time IRL? I believe not. BTW Hiddink has resigned from PSV to join Russia so there's another perfect example of it beeing realistic.

I think the whole pre-season is actually pretty realistic.

Well, i don't think it is. Nevermind about the foreign managers, once they resigned, clubs like Barcelona and Bayern will not have any managers. Meaning when playing them, the manager's comment is redundant and useless!!

The transfers are just kinda absurb. Portsmouth bought at least known players, but in most cases, the pre season transfers involves so many unknown players from South America and Sweden with absurb ratings, and clubs like Villa and Blackburn and Birmingham bought 6 to 7 of them in one go!!!!!!! cos dey cos like 200k each!! I mean, when was the last time dis occur in real life?? At most 2 to 3 yougsters, plus rest of it, 1 or 2 big players or at least proven players, eg Baros, Bellamy, Kuqi, etc...

grrrr...if only i can the game as simple as u can!! maybe i a fanatic!!!

kinda see where you're coming from. Though for me, the only annoying things are Chelsea buying everyone who you go for. The kind of players in their reserves is utterly stupid.

I wouldn't call it a problem. It is after all a game and perfection might be impossible. To be honest, the cheap players will greatly enhance a weak squad like say, Sheffield United's. But the good thing is that big clubs don't go for those players, right?

i just wish i cld change some of the players club though..em martin o neill took over newcastle n bought 6 spanish players!! how obscene is that!!

Crespo played against my reserves, and it wasen't just him, Bridge was there too!

Poor Mark Howard never stood a chance.

Mark Viduka once played for Chelsea reserves on FM05 against me (thats right, Mark Viduka) and he ended up breaking a 15year olds leg, the bastard.

Viduka was a god on the earlier games, but then, it gave heading/jumping 20 to half the players on the game.

Signed him for free, played one season and wanted to sell him. No=one's buying so he's in my reserves.

haha(H) I have done that to some of my players too. Gilardino is in my reserves right now, although he is like 32 years old.
