Yes this description appears under the Non Football section, yet half of the threads end up being closed or deleted (which leads to a very boring section of SG)

Why is it then this section is described as 'anything goes' when it's censored like f*ck:f***:

Stop complaining:f***:. I know places where rules are a LOT STRICTER. I personally don't have a problem with the closing of most of the threads that get closed. The mods usually have a good reason.

You just know this is gonna be closed(H)

Explain the closure of rock music threads then. Is there any justifiable reason - NO there isn't. It seems to me that there is an anti-rock music campaign going on - which fits nicely with anyone seeking to reduce freedom (especially of speech - coz thats what rock music is all about)

In public no one restricts people discussion topics (providing it isn't unethical - e.g. anything rascist, etc), and the same should apply here too. This forum had the implication of 'anything goes' so thats how it should be kept. Especially threads about rock music - they don't cause fights between members, there not rascist or anything else unethical.

Just coz a mod finds it boring or doesn't like rock music isn't a reason for closing/deleting them. How would they like it if I closed or deleted a thread just coz I don't like their discussion topic???

I'll be glad to answer that question.
First, it's not 'anything goes', like you said. There was a forum with that name, but it's long gone now. ;)

Second, some threads are closed, among other reasons, because of it's poor intrinsic value (such as this one) or because they will most probably cause arguments between members. We don't need that.

I hope you understand these reasons and stop posting threads like this one. If you want to complain about a mod or the way the forums are run, there are more suitable ways to do it.

EDIT: I love rock, in fact, I even play in a band, so there's no prejudice against any sort of music here. Geez, nobody even closed those SBF's threads about Trance music! Maybe the rock threads were closed because there were other similar threads...

several rock music threads - maybe thats down to the fact they are kept on being closed.

music threads belong here - is it really necessary for there to be a separate music forum before the mods stop closing them?

the next music thread will ask what type of music do people like - it'll be interesting to find out the type of music people listen to - just like the religion topic (which is still running).

One rock music thread was closed. It was yours and you're pissed off about that. But it's no reason to start moaning. Everyone has a thread closed at some point. There were already about 3 rock music threads which would all have been closed if there was an "anti rock music campaign" going on:f***:
