Problem with my Ps2 to USB converter (Play.com)

Hi all !

I have just baught a ps2 to usb converter, and i have a litlle problem.

I have a ps1 gamepad, without the analogic pad.

And the problem is , that the converter put the same touch for the analogic than from the arrows.... and it doesnt work good in the game...

Has someone a tip to help me?

got to your control panel, game controllers, select the game pad. Properties, and change it to the non-analog pad. Then configure the controls in the settings.exe )PES folder) and in the game itself if necessary.

Ive heard the play.com usb converter for PS2-PC has problems with reaction speed? unresponsive?

can someone tell me if this is true.

Indeed it does , ive 2 of the Play.com Adaptors and theyre both CRAP , i believe www.sendit.com have a few decent ones on offer.

oh ******* hell, is there anything i can get out there that EVERYONE will say - yeah top controller mate!

surely there is one controller that everyone agrees works amazingly with PES4 PC.

Get ps 2 controller and then play.com adapter works smooth here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reaction time bug is simply because it polls for a 2nd connector even if one isn't plugged in. The solution is simple:

Plug in 2 pads - you don't need to use both though obviously

Or go to the system properties and disable one of the controllor ports for the adaptor

I use the one from Play.com and find it to work PERFECTLY - no lagging or other problems whatsoever.

yeah but, have you played the PS2 version? cos a lot of people havent and then when people who have go to play the PC version they indefinatly find it slower.

Yes, I actually own the PS2 version I can't find any difference to the PC one to be honest, other than the resolution.

I use the SmartJoy PSX to USB adapter from Electricquarter.com. It works just fine for me and I don't have any lag issues. However, I have never played the PS2 version so I have nothing to compare it to.
