Problem with load screens and clock in Windows2000

Does anyone else use Windows 2000? I've got a problem where the load screens are scrambled before I enter a game and the clock is scrambled during the game. None of the other graphics are affected. The load screens don't bother me much but the clock is fairly necessary for effective gameplay.

I switched to Win2000 from WinME because I need the stability for other applications I run and it's so much better for networking. If anyone knows of a solution...please share.
