does that make Britney Spears a heroin? I bet she sells more records than Blink182

Well I guess she is then. Maybe not to some people(and I'm one of them), but to some certainly.

You tell me, what's your 'interpretation' of a hero than?

"A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life"

Courtesy of Webster's. It's generally what I think of in reference to the word hero...

Well if that's so than no-one posted(except for a few maybe, can't be bothered to check) in this thread is a hero since none of them risked or sacrificed his or her life.

Well, that's not exactly true, there are a few real heroes posted in this thread IMO (you'll see them if you know some history and can look past the Ronald McDonald's and Chuck Norris's), and I assure you a couple did risk their lives and/or were part of some very noble causes...other than having kick-ass record sales ofcourse.

but hey, that's just me.

Anyhow, this is an opinion thread. I'm not gonna waste my time argueing over it.

I don't think Mike Patton (the pic I posted) has ever sacrificed his life or anything like that, but making and partaking in so much amazing (and varied) music the last 20 years or so, he's proved that amazing/legendary (rock) musicians dont just stem from the era of Beatles, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and the like.

He's a musical hero.

Now what, nigga? (H)(C)

For christ' sake it's not because of the kick-ass record sales that I see them as heros, but because of the touching songs, the 1216 drum beats of Travis, the guitar solo's of Tom et cetera...

. . . the 1216 drum beats of Travis . . .

Travis Barker's drumming is about as heroic as a piece of cheese. Now Mike Portnoy, John Bonham, Neal Peart, Carter Beauford . . . their drumming is heroic.

I took her out it was Friday night
I wore cologne to get the feeling right
We started making out and she took off my pants
But then I turned on the TV
And that's about the time that she walked away from me
Nobody likes you when you're 23
And are still more amused by TV shows
What the hell is ADD?
My friends say I should act my age
What's my age again?

truly heroic
