Portuguese Liga

I don't know if everyone knows it but the Portugese Liga is not "Super Liga Galp Energia" anymore. It is "Liga BetandWin.com" will ea be making this change or not? I doubt it because in the demo they still have Galp Energia.

I can understand that but, the dutch league is in it this year and they are sponsored by a lottery, it doesn't make sense.

It's different... not to mention that EA signed the contract with Portuguese League a long time ago, even Santa Casa da Misericórdia protested against the betandwin sponsorship. EA can't make pub to a site of bets like i've said, they have no kind of agreement to that not to mention that they would to completely rebuild many aspects of Portuguese league, believe me, i've already spoked about this with EA...

Is any other league that is sponsored by any kind of gambling/cigarette company in the game? because I think its illegal now to advertise cigarettes in any sports game (well atleast in Europe), just wondering.

I think in Denmark they've rejected the sponsorship of betandwin. I've never heard of a league sponsored by a cigarrete company...

You cant advertises cigarettes pretty much anywhere in the us, you cant even smoke in public places in alot of areas. Since i'm not a smoker, so its not a problem for me though.

yes, totally agree....SuperLiga Galp Energia isn't very nice, but it's deffinitely better than Liga betwandwin.com

they have a poll on which name you like best. Im guessing there going to change the name or are atleast thinking about it. I would be more up to date on whats happening but im in the states and don't hear to many things about unless I go to websites like rtp.pt.....lpfp.pt....tvi.pt etc... Now im hoping to go to Portugal this October but as of right now its still up in the air. But if I did I know id hear more about it.

I dindt meant it that way... i just dont think EA is aware of all that courtyard and "sta casa da misericordia" bull****.
They have enough work already on their hands... dont think thay will get interested in knowing every single and legal aspect of the league sponsors.
They contact the LPF (in the portuguese case) and thats it...

No problem. I voted for Super Liga too. But ive been keeping an eye on it these past few days and at one point "Liga Betandwin.com was leading, but then that name went back down again. I think if they go by that poll and decide to choose a new name it will proably come down to between "Super Liga" and "Primeira Liga"

Wrong, EA knows, i'm one of the Portuguese ME and i've talked about this with EA, they can't make pub to bet companies...
