LOL I noticed the DV and NB helped out with the lencos brancos also. :hump:

Jorge Costa has to come back if the defense wants to get stronger for Porto. :jambo:

Micolli has a tear and will be out for a while, too bad Karadas isn't coming back till Jan 1st. :S

Punkt I heard it live too...loled.

SLB are the fair winners. Porto attacked more. Benfica ,IMO, made world-class defending. They didn't attack too much, but when they attacked...it was something like...near the post, goal, goal. My bet was 2-2...if Benfica had less Luisão...Luisão made a great game.

FCP have a suicide team. Attack, attack, attack. That second goal is totally stupid...1 defender in the area for 1 attacker...amazing...

Great match we did in the 2nd half.

Our defence was truly amazing. Never seen a better Benfica defence in my lifetime :Bow:

Nelson had an amazing game again, his crosses :rockman:

Karyaka also played great, had lots of tackles in the midfield and the passes were always right.

Oh and Bruno Alves showing the "northern temper" :rofl:

Simao could have done a lot better today especially in that 3 to 1 play and he shoots to the defenders legs. Got really pissed with that. 3 - 0 would be a major whoopass.

I noticed Luisao played injuried the last 15 minutes, I hope he is ok for the CL game this week. I noticed Villareal rested there 2 fowards this weekend.

Deserved win for us.. Nelson is absolute class .. MOM apart from Nuno Golos (H). Our defense was great as well, Luisao and Anderson were very solid. That red card to Léo seemed exagerated, but whatever, don't care.

Too bad Adriaanse is in denial. If he did what he said he'd do, he would resign. Already lost the respect I had for that guy.

Yeah, just heard that as well. The ref's intentions were actually pretty clear. Too bad they're still afraid to show a red card to the home team in Dragão. In the situation before (Bruno Alves agression) the ref really had to sent the player off, still he somehow had to compensate porto by sending off a benfica player.

We still managed to win, and that's what matters anyway. :lui:

Great win by Benfica, totally deserved. First half was very even but in the second half Benfica was far superior. Koeman won the tactical battle without any doubt. Co Adriaanse has to do his homework and acknowledge that a Ricardo Costa/Bruno Alves duo gives no guarantees. Ricardo Costa needs a figure like Jorge Costa or Pedro Emanuel to guide him and give stability to the Porto defence. That Bruno Alves tackle was dispicable. Im curious to see how many games he will get of suspension (Killer tackle+ Headbutting the opponent). Anyways Porto fans should be pleased, at least he won´t play.
I was really surprised with Benfica. They played with no fear and were totally in control. Very personalized performance.
Who would have thought, after the first league games, that Koeman would be the hero and that some Porto fans would start asking for Adriaanse´s "head"? Football is crazy.
