Playing patched WE5FE with Gameshark 2

Hi,

I'm about to get my WE5FE patched with the English patch and burn it on a CDR.

Can someone please let me know which versions of Gameshark 2 will help boot CDR and DVDR backups ?

My US PS2 is already modded (origachip)

Do you need a GameShark if you have the Origa chip? Is that defeating the purpose of having that chip? I thought it was to play import originals. At any rate, I have Gameshark version 2. I think the latest version of Gameshark would work.

I use v1.6 which i got last year for WE5. I heard that 1.8 and above didn't work for some chips. What modchip do you use?

I have the ORIGA chip in my PS2.
I can bootup Original WE5FE without any swap.

But if I want to play a backup of WE5FE (patched) then I will need a Gameshark.

I'm trying to buy it online, but I'm not sure which version I need.
Can someone tell me please.
