Polands goalie really impressed me tonight, he's playing for Celtic, am I right? He almost managed to get a clean sheet against Germany, almost.... Though, this was actually round 2s first match, but I wanted to mention him anyway:)

I thought for a moment and, noone

this tournament needs someone like Hagi, Zidane (yes despite he's in)

I just saw Ronaldinho having a bit enthusiasm, maybe Messi will add some but no more.. :nape:

Definitely Lahm, if you have watched the first 2 games, you could have easily picked him as Man of Match for both. He was never out of place, he did perfect tackles and was always willing to move forward in the attack. If you watched Germany - Poland, he could have earned 2 to 3 assists if Klose and co. were able to finish.

David Odonkor from Germany really made a difference when he was subbed on, got the assist on the game winner. Great pace and good control on the wings. Also I was very impressed by the entire Croatian team, they refused to be intimidated by Brazil and were it not for one moment of magic from Kaka they could have gotten a point or more.

Starting XI
Shaka Hislop was a good surprise.

And Rosicky is showing at a bigger stage, like it is the WC what he can do. No wonder Arsenal already has a hand on him...

I have to go with Robben, he in my opinion has been the best player so far... showing great skill.

what the hell are you talking about? There have been some great performances individually, and its only after one game

guys that impressed me thus far, in order

1. Odonkor: he was all heart and no bs today. Came on, ran his ass off and didn give up one inch. Id buy him tomorrow to start if I was Jose
2. Kaka was excellent yesterday
3. Lahm has been very good thusfar
5. Beckham did very good for England against Paraguy
6. Rosicky, and he only falls this far because he is a let-down at the club level and i know this wont last

That mexican right back, don't remember his name right now.
Odonkor was really impressive for Germany and Senna of Spain deserves a mention too.

Robben, Lahm, Rosicky.

Robben showed outragous skill throughout the whole game and produced a clinical finish to lead his team to victory.

Lahm scored possibly one of the best goals of this world cup so far. And he has been pure genius going forward and providing dangerous crosses and runs into the opponent's pk area.

Rosicky scored two amazing goals and he showed why he was signed by this year's champions league finalists. He also scored one of the best goals so far in this world cup.

Mendez?
Castro?

Just wait until you see Guardado.

For me, it has to be Robben, Nakamura, and Puyol.
