EA is about the graphics. By default, EA purposely made the game so that people would be wow by the way the players, ball, and the pitch look. Hence the camera angle is that of a closeup. The ball looks big relative to the player's body model is because EA wants it that way. They want you to be wow at how realistic the ball looks.
