Players' Numbers Not Right Again!

I have seen a few screen shoots and it appears that the player's number is assigned according to what he wears in his club. For example, Paul Ince wears #9 in Middlesbrough and instead of wearing #4, he steals Shearer's #9 shirt in the England squad! How stupid is that!
