Players growth

I have seen some players that in the players growth the next seasons it goes down and not up, for example Xaby Alonso says that in the next season he would have 85, then 84, then 83. He is only 28, not an old player.

Why is that? Another question, other player it goes up, 78 79 80 81 81 81, why is that, not all players get to be 90 or higher?

What you are seeing is perfectly reasonable given the way that growth is handled within the game.
