Hello there,
in Fifa 15, it appears to be common that older players lose several points on their Mental attributes pretty quickly. It may start around the age of 28 or 29.
I always thought that Mental attributes should be kept the longest, with Skill attributes dropping earlier and Physical attributes dropping first.
I tried to influence that using the playergrowth.ini, but it appears that it doesn't quite work. Thus, I wanted to ask if someone else here can share some knowledge.
What I've found out so far is that it seems that the
NORMAL_SKILL_X_0 = 16
NORMAL_SKILL_Y_0 = 80
stats and the
NORMAL_MENTAL_X_0 = 17
NORMAL_MENTAL_Y_0 = 80
stats are interchanged. I ran a test with youthplayer May Updates while changing the Y value to something ridiculously high (200). The result was that when changing NORMAL_SKILL_Y_0 to 200, the players would get high 90's Mental attributes in the May Update while changing NORMAL_MENTAL_Y_0 to 200, their Skill attributes would end up much higher.
Keeping that in mind, I tried changing these values for higher X values (representing age). For example I tried changing NORMAL_SKILL_Y_1 to 200 and see if my older players in the squad would regain Mental attributes, but they didn't.
Changing the "Old Curve" stats didn't have any effect and I don't even know whether Old Curve and Young Curve apply to any players at all, or under which circumstances they apply. Does anyone know something about that?
For those wondering, Career Mode curve only applies to high OVR players starting at age 28. You can change these values and it does seem to have an effect on old player Mental attributes, but that's not what I'm aiming for; I'm trying to get a reasonable growth and decline for the bulk of the players, which are usually below 80 OVR, while keeping the "special" growth and decline for the top players.
So, can anyone provide some input?
