Player Contracts/Transfers

I've been trying to sign players to improved terms to my team (Notts County) but they all reject. It is my first year as manager so does that have anything to do with it? Also when I try to sign players from other clubs they always reject even if I give them the maximum offer....So frustrating.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

i know what you mean mate i have to give them like 5x what there worth to get them to sign for yeovil, but that was my first season aswell, try upgrading youre negotiator and in your next season if youre manager has improved a bit you should have more luck, ive been able to get them a bit cheaper now because my manager is level 4 and my negotiator is 4 or 5.

I've also had more luck when I offered them bonuses. If you don't have a very good team, then you don't have to worry much about the GK or DF clean sheet bonuses, or the MF goal bonus, really. Just be careful if you're signing a really good striker, he'll probably get his bonus fairly regularly. If I'm trying to get a transfer now, even a player who's not listed, it's pretty easy if I just offer a bit more wage and a 15% bonus. Then you just have to satisfy the club, which is usually 20% or more above the market value.

i still have to pay 1-2million more to get 8million player and it only rises frm there

First of all i bet your manager prestige is only 1. so if you are trying to sign people over 70 its not going to happen. To sign good players and by good i mean 80+ you need at least 3 as your manager prestige and even then they dont come cheap.

the best player you can possibly sign is d.sturridge he is 15 in real life. i noticed him in the game at the age of 19. he was a striker with a stat of 82. i bought him at 19 and he now is 21 and has a stat of 93! worth a cool 33 million. so if you need money or a great signing, buy him young and sell him or keep him. d.sturridge.

I started out as Wycombe, so I fully sympathise with your predicament. Most of the time I can't even re-sign my own players. I have three of the eleven players on my team in the last year of their contracts that won't even sign for the highest possible wage and bonus (two of whom have 99 morale) and most of the rest will only accept the max. possible wage (which is a 50% increase over what they're on already) plus at least a 10% bonus. Both transfer listed and free agent players of a similar level to the better players on my team (mid 50s overall) demand wages that are two or three times more than my current squad.

Because of that I've given up on the transfer market for now, concentrating instead on signing players through scouting (although even one of those rejected my offer to pursue opportunities elsewhere!!) and I'm hoping that when my prestige rises and I can afford to upgrade my negotiator (currently level 2) that transfers will become a possibility once I'm promoted to League One. We shall see

Given that he starts out at 73 and with an EPL team (Man. City) I can't imagine that anyone piloting a League Two side has an earthly of signing a player like that. Heck, I can't even sign players that aren't good enough to get in my starting 11!!
