I think we all know Nuno Valente and Maniche will be called up. And I really doubt Scolari will call up Ricardo Rocha, Petit and Nuno Gomes unless they make excellent seasons... they havent been regulars.


Btw the Deco playing in the NT subject was heavilly discussed in Portugal, with lots of people opposing it, although he's not the first to do it, he was just the first "star" that did so. Off the top of my head Abel Xavier has double nationality (Mozambique), Makukula (Sub-20 team). Also other countries have been doing it for ages look at France, and Italy's Camoranesi.

he played very well the last 2 games and rudi völler will pick the players who were good at the important qualifying games just like he did for the wc 2002 (the 23 players who played at the wc were nearly the same as the ones who played the relegation against ukraine), so i think he will pick kuranyi over lauth, who playes for my favourite club 1860 münchen)

the point of this thread is to choose OUR team to euro2004. and if i was the NT coach these are the players that i choosen.
about abel xavier, he is 100% portuguese because when he was born mozambique was portuguese territory.the deco and makukula situations are different, they have required portuguese citizenship...
