Photoshop CS2 9.0 probs.

Just bought Adobe Photoshop Cs2 v.9 and installation goes fine and all, but at the beggining it says "unable to load updater" i just ignore this thinking its nothing. So then I want to create new image (transp. background) with 512x768 ( boot pack for Pes ) and as I pick the painbucket tool to fill in, I get this process bar that takes forever and eventually freezes my computer. I understand it might ahve to do with the scratch disks,but i've set them to my largest drive ( free space: 80.2gb ) but it still does the same thing after many reinstallations. Does anyone know a solution for this and/or settings I should put? thanks.

they told me the same thing the manual says: choose the drive with the most free space. very helpful.

wow, lol. nevermind you think i hung up the phone as the process was goin on?; i'll look somewhere else,daz, your tips are mind boggling helpful and not obvious at all...admin close this thread.sorry i'm frustrated, so dont respond.

how much ram do u hav? need a somewhat fast pc to run it smoothly...so with ram also how fast is your processor and harddrive

i can tell u that his hardrive is a 7200 rpm mostly don't know if it is SATA or something.

i get the unable to load updater message aswell, but mine never freezes, but it may just be because my pc has the correct requirements
