The option file is no longer available to download on this site. This is due to the copyright of the FA premier league on the club badges and names. These copyrighted items are now being removed.

Please do not post any option files or images that break copyright laws on the site, anyone doing so will be removed for the time being.

The entire editing section of PESFan is gone :/

Never heard of such issues before. I mean it can't be illegal to edit the kits, can it?

Yeah, looks like they've finished with those criminal masterminds who posted up league fixtures on their sites and are now dealing with teenage gamers.

It brings back shades of the incident with HQFL.dk (High Quality Football Logos) a few years ago, when the FA demanded they took the logos of clubs off their site.

It's not a joke.
They did the same with the English logos at High Quality Football Logos.
They also have made closed a german site which was dealing about the Premier League.
And if you want to visit the English clubs websites , you need to register.
It is a whole organisation, " protecting " ??? the rights and images of the F.A and F.L

What I don't understand is that PESFAN's optionfile is a just that, an optionfile. It's not a patch. Everything in it was created using the in game tools. Sharing optionfiles is common practice nowadays.

right. i understand that.
My question is whether this can be proved by applying or interpreting the copyright law or whatever they claim to use for this action. I seriously doubt that... I'm not a lawyer, of course, but i'd be curious to see the exact legal argument. Right now it sounds like somebody abused their rights to tell people what to do and what not to do.

I don't see how sharing an options file with EPL logos is different from me drawing a Newcastle logo in photoshop - pixel by pixel and sending it in email to my brother. Is that illegal too?

I know this stuff.

I used to make wallpapers for a site. We used team logos and players photos in every single one of them. So the NBA sent us a letter telling us to close the site blah blah blah. The thing is as long as you are not making money of it its legal you just have to say something like photos and logos are from their respective owners.

PESFAN People are not making money of it nor are the patch makers, they just have to say that logos and stuff are from their respective owners or somethig like that.

its stupid to close this nonprofit sites, its more publicity for them and they dont lose ****. as long as its nonprofit, its good!
