PES6 will only be for next gen consoles

The article says that PES6 will only be for next gen consoles, according to the creator he is trying to make the online mode a match of 11 players against 11 players, although at the moment he doesn't know exactly how.
The game will offer better graphics with Motion Capture for each player in a completely personalized way.

I think the comment is only based on the release of the game on consoles, however I do think it will come out on the PC (they better do!)

Not true. Europe won't be getting the PS3 until Spring 07. Are you trying to tell me that this will be the last PES they have until then? No way!

Besides, 11 on 11 will never work. Who will want to stay back and play right defense all the time?

you would be suprised wolf. English ppl love defending. plus i doubt it would be a matter of choice, more like done by rank or something. The lower rank game you play the higher up the field you can choose, or highest ranked players choose who they wanna play as first.

I don't like the idea of 11 vs 11. ok it might be fun to try, but playing with my friends (always 1 player per team) and playing me vs the cpu makes the game for me, and I think ppl will try 11 vs 11 at first and then go back to normal matches.
for me the point is not what position you are out of the 11 (though, being the keeper would suck really). in a real soccer match you get tired and therefore can't run all the pitch but playing the game you don't get tired so you always will want the ball, being only one player will result in everyone trying to hold the ball and not passing it, and boredom while waiting for the passes.

I think Konami is focusing on the wrong aspect this time. gameplay is what the PES series is known about so they should fix the problems with it. also since PES4 the series has been great about its details, they can add alot more of those tiny details that make the game so great. then comes the graphics, because seeing the Fifa06:RTCW gfx on the X360 konami must do something (I know gfx don't affect gameplay but they are always the first impression you get about a game, so good gfx attract more ppl).
instead, they're focusing on design aspects and netcode of a multiplayer feature that I don't think will replace or even hurt the actual multiplayer.

why speculate, just wait, the less you expect something the bigger the treat will be when it finally reaches you. :jap:

That is what the producer said about the next PES, although it is probably just an speculation as MisterM said, I'm just telling you what I read in that website.

finally ; we can play with more pixels on PC ... sounds excellent ...

Won't happen unfortunately. Games software has to be released so it's playable on a certain percentage of PCs otherwise you negate a large proportion of your market. If you released a game that required a 3.2ghz processor and a 6800FX Ultra graphics cardx and 1GB of RAM, it would probably blow your socks off graphically but how many average people have that spec. machine? That's why it's easier to make games for consoles where you know the power (and limitations) and configurations of the platform.

Just as long as they stop using the PS2 as lowest common denominator.
In any case it'll be fun to see. No more hiding behind "we had to do this because of the PS2's hardware limitations".

I think a pc version must have the best graphic wich is possible. in pes you have different graphic options, i think with a real pc version the different can be bigger. look at other games, like shooter, there you nee a good pc for play in highest graphic details. i hope that we need for pes6 a good pc, i'm ready for it

Hopefully by the time PES6 comes out most pc owners would have upgraded their crappy Pentium 2 ghz + geforce fx5200 +512 ram for something that can play modern games in the year 2006.

But then again having seen what people write on here , maybe not.....sighs. The funny thing is by the time PE6 comes the most powerfull PCS will be better than the next gen consoles.

And yet game companies will continue to port their games from PS3 to PC...

Good idea, I think instead of buying my baby daughter food, shoes, clothes and nursery fees, I'll upgrade to a mega PC so I can play PES5 at really high resolutions!

Why should the rest of us not play next-gen PES6 because you have kids (and a cr4p pc) ? Please heard it all before. If you cant afford kids , dont have them.

Strangely when I phoned Konami about this, they said that me upgrading to a 4800+ SLI may not in fact affect their future plans for PES6.

Plus I afford my children very nicely thanks - contrary to your rather stupid edit. I simply have perspective on what's important. Something you don't have.
