john2gr said:One of the unwritten rules is <<Pay attention to what the other is saying>>.Now like a good boy go and see what i consider best soccer game in the previous posts or generally from my post in this forum .It seems nowadays that everyone who doesn't like the new installment of PES makes him a Fifa fanboy.Simply LOL,hahahahahahahahaha way to go mate
Oh and about the bashing.I'm bashing it cause i see one of my favourite series being f*cked up.I've posted the videos and the screenshots.Let the PES return to it's roots, where collision detection and movement was perfect, where you were controlling 100% the players, with the simulation feeling that those versions had.Simple as that.
I agree with you. This is not what it should be.john2gr said:Here is the BUG of PES5,you can see it clearly.Head over to http://www.trance.gr/~john2/ and download the PES5 BUG.avi .The ball is coming to Henry and i'm pressing the arrows to get the player there and what is happening??????He is standing still. Now here is your "perfect" new Pro Evolution Soccer.I still think that Pro Evolution Soccer 3 is better and i gave you plenty of reasons and videos.

It's a good game but it's the same game as pes3, with a few tweaks. I'd download it, but as an owner or pes 4 I doubt i'd pay for it.
Han said:Yes, PES is a game what needs to be getting used to
About the passing: If there are serveral players you pass to, the ball will go to the place the passer is facing at, which is not the same as passing in the direction you aim at with your controller! Keep an eye on the passer and look where he is facing at. The same is true for the low and high trough-pass, but these are even harder because you can measure the speed as well and you do not aiming to a player, but an area. If you want the ball going to the place the controller is directed, you should use the right analog stick, but that is even harder to control

But take into consideration that this is only a demo. There is another bug, where the game crashes after an injury.
I think you should look at the greater picture, how the game is as a whole.
Hard to tell from a demo, I agree, but at least you can get an impression how the game will be. Especially if you play it a lot.
Of course it is a bit silly if you compare this with PES 3, still saying that one is better. You know that!
What is your background about football? Do you play football and do you play it on a high level? I don't anymore as my age is well in the fourties I can assure you though, that football-wise this is a VERY good simulation of real football (FIFA does not come even close, also not with the newest version).
The new PES 5 understands all kind of tactics better than all versions of PES before. For instance manmarking has greatly improved and the marker does what a marker will do in real life. The nice thing is that the intensity of marking works as well, meaning that if the attacker walks away well out of the zone of the defender, he will act as you ordered: He follows him when marking is aggressive and he lets him go if the marking is normal. Also covering works great in conjunction with man-marking. The covering player helps the marker is he's in trouble and else he fills the gap close to the marker. In what game did you see things like this? It just shows the sheer class of the game. Of course, it is only an example, but it tells a story!
It tells something else than incidental futulities like a collision detection for which you need a big looking glass
