PES4 real problems...

first let me say i'm not fifa fan and I just play PES cuz it's better but this years game is not as sharp and realistic as last years one.

- Keepers: well they suck, they are super gifted...It's like they know if the ball is stoppable or not...If I can't stop it why bother trying? Also on 1 on 1 situation no matter how hard you shoot or how close to the keeper you are..they have the amazing reflexes to stop the ball, it's very rare if you beat the keeper 1 on 1 unless you lob him.

- Dribbling: well it's not that good, if a defender slightly touches the ball you will lose control and the ball will bounce 20 yards away. last year was great you no longer made awesome dribbles betwen 2 or more defender not even with zidane.

- Crossing: It's good but I prefer last year one...It was better

- Free Kicks: Too easy...I manage to score every 7 out of 10 times...If is short press down if is long press up...easy..
That's some of the issues I have but other than that it's perfect...I hope Konami solve this in WE8I...

I disagree PES 4 is much better and an improvement...crossing, shooting and dribbling is better...freekicks r realistic...ok GK is sometimes BS...but overall there is no match for PES 4 but place for new implementations and improvements...

This game has so many things that should be fixed that Konami's better start consentrating on PES 5 and take note on what truely sucks in this one. I'm not gonna make a list of the things that ruin this game cause it will only get responds like "I don't have those problems cause I can beat the cpu every time and I'm the MASTER and blablablabla..."

You're right. I don't have any problems with the gameplay. I'm not the master, but I just think of realistic ways of solving certain situations and it works out from me perfectly.

PES4 is the best yet. My friend was reading all these posts about how this game is worse, blablabla. He was worried it was going to suck. And then he came over and played it for the first time. Now he understands that this is the best version yet.

Please make a list.

I do not agree that it is impossible to beat the goalkeeper one to one...alright if you just press the shot botton without doing any feints, the keeper will save most of the shots...

I know three ways to beat the goalkeeper one to one:

1. I do not feint, but I lob with Square + R1 (I first press Square, then R1...and the player will make a lob over the goalkeepers head...just not press the Square-botton to much, because then the ball will go over...)..I prefere the lob when I am pressed by the defender and I realise that I cannot get any closer to the keeper....and of course only when the keeper is rushing out of his goal...

2. I make a feint (circke first, then x) or L1 two or three times or just feinting using R2, and then I shoot

3. I do not make any feints, but I shoot pressing shot botton (square) first, and then suddenly after I press circle...and the player will make a weak but very precise placed shot....most times it workes...this is effective especialy when I am too close to the keeper to lob him and when I am not pressed by any defender....

I think that the problem is not the shooting itself..but getting to the chances....

EXCUSE ME FOR MY BAD ENGLISH ;) ...

it reminds me fifa 98 rtwc.
There was quite difficult to score in 1 on 1.
Much easy was to make some dribble and ball goes to the aim.

BTW
The game pes4 was designed to the 3 years kids also (official notes).
I'm so fu_cked proud about so wide age aspect of the game!

First time ive ever played Pro Evo and being a previous Fifa Mad Fan i have to say im very impressed by Pro Evo and havent touched Fifa since :o

The Gameplay is awesome and there doesnt seem to be repetition of goals like in Fifa.

The bit i like most is when you score a goal and its offside , the player celebrates hears the whistle and gazes over at the linesman as if he wants to kill him , absoloute Quality :D

This game is class. Any game that can emulate so many real world situations for me is a true work of art.

Welcome to the mountaintop.

These are ''parent advisory'' notes. It doesn't mean that game is designed for 3 year old kid intelectual capacity, it's just the information for parents and grownups who buys games for their kids. It's about how manuture the game is or what degree of viloence and profanity is invilved. I guess there is none in any football simulator.;)
Well, unless they include Vinnie Jone's ''stab Gascoine in the nuts'' trick.:D

yea the offside scoring scene is nice.. but one thing i hate most is when a player is innocent from committing a foul it raise both of his hand... instead of keep chasing the ball it stand there... ... and the time it stand still is long... not realistic enuff in my opinion should be chasing the loose ball with both hands up...

wow you kidding 1 on 1 against the keeper i have about 5 different ways to score...

dribber around him, fake shot, side step, lob, just take a regular shot (WHILE AIMING)

they should have variety of scence show the player frustration but not all players share a same scence

I agree but its apparent that noobs only know last solution - without aiming!

The thing I hate the most about PES4 is player reactions. Sure, it's realistic, but I don't want my players to stay on the ground protesting, or putting their hands up in innocence when there is no whistle. That allows the opponent to move far enough without having anyone pressuring him.

Maybe this is just me, but I still am not used to having a referee around. I sometimes mistake him as the opponent or my own teammates, especially if I'm playing Chelsea with their black/gray away kit, and the referee has an all-black kit.

One-on-one, I don't really see any much difference than previous games. It's still the same, you can score without feinting/lobbing, it's just that you need your angles and timing correct.

Overall, I enjoy PES4 more than PES3, but the little quirks I mentioned can sometimes annoy.

True...

It annoys me that when I make the slightest foul on the opponents player, I get carded immediately. But if the CpU makes the same foul on me, nothing happens....(free kick, but no card....):kader:

In this Master League season I have already had about 10 red card after having played 22 matches. But I only remember 1-2 red cards for the opponents....even that many times they foul me when I am almost alone with the goalkeeper...but mostly they will never get more than a yellow card....even that I am almost ono to one with the keeper....but when I foul the CpU´s players one to one with my keeper the ref always give me the red card...THIS IS NOT FAIR..:(

It is also annoying that when I play away with Juventus in my almost black second jersey I can hardly distinguis between the ref and my players....so sometimes I pass the ball to ref beliving that he is one of my teammates...;) ...this has indeed costed me a couple of goals...:kader:
