PES4 PC Online League

Ok, as online play for the PC is officially confirmed, perhaps we should start considering the planning for an official Soccer Gaming PES4 league. I know Evo-Web have started the plans for the X-Box version so maybe we can start our own version for the PC here.

We have to decide by some method who gets what team. Some handicap system whereby we have a seeding system and the best player gets the weakest team, etc.

Then we have to decide whether we're going to have a mixed league, an all English Premiership division, an all La Liga division etc. with random drawings for Champions League games and domestic cups etc.

There's a lot we can do and we may as well try and get the format agreed early and see how many people are interested. There are a lot of teams available this year so we can accomodate a lot of players.

Personally I'd like to see it broken into different leagues such as the ones in the game and a misc. league with the additional teams in the game such as Celtic, Rangers, Galatasaray, etc.

Any ideas?

Yep, so 7 different leagues. We can have a random drawing for each leagues domestic cup competition and also for the Champions League at the end of each season.

What do you think regarding standardizing the length of the game? 15 or 20 mins? Weather and time of day I think we should leave random as well as the referee. The home team gets to pick the stadium.

Condition wise, should we allow all teams to have players in perfect condition otherwise some people will get a bum deal going into games.

Also, we can do our own World Cup competition and Euro Championship not to mention a few other National comps from around the world.

I think all of the teams will be taken eventually. Unfortunately, because everybody can't be their fave team, some people are going to end up with teams they don't support but that'll be half the fun of it, taking a minor team as far as you can and getting to know your team inside out.

Well, we'll all have to agree to use the same option file. PESFan have released version 1.0 of their option file today with another full version out in a few weeks so we'll probably convert that for PC use. As you know I was doing my own version but the PESFan team beat me to it and made a far more comprehensive option file anyway with the uniforms. It'll have all the transfers up to date that we need to play with. We'll have a rule that nobody can transfer during the season otherwise everybody's option files will be messed up.

If you wanna create a Liga, its very stupid to choose teams.

I have seen FIFA pro.competitions, and is just Mike vs Peter, not Liverpool vs Juventus, Mike can choose France, and Peter can choose a club or a country, France included. The point is you play vs a player that choose a team and a strategy. you beat that player, not the team he is using... Cant explain vey well :(

In example. Match Real Madrid vs Getafe, obviously is easier to play with Real Madrid, its unfair ! :(

I choose Valencia CF anyway :P

Actually, if a player is better than another player, often the team choice won't make too much difference. Remember that it's like that in real life anyway, one team is better than another but shocks always happen.

I'm quite sure a lot of people out there could choose Norwich and still beat me even though I'm Man Utd.

If it's true that PES4 for PC does have Internet play.. than I finaly can wave goobye to EA soccer games EVER YEAAAHHhhhhhh

I've got PES3, I think i was briljant... but withoud support for Internet play.. I can't play it. All my friends got Fifa series for online play.... but no more..

I think this is the last step for Konami to blow EA Sports away for good (Y)
