PES3 Demo messed up on my computer

Hey guys, something is wrong with the demo of PES3 on my computer. The gameplay is slow, and also the screen looks strange, the field is green with black lines. Also the screen freezes alot, and I have to constantly minimize the screen to refresh it. Sometimes the gameplay speeds up within the game, but it is really slow. My computer is a 1.4 ghz Celeron, GeForce 4 mx 420, 512mb SDRAM, and I have about 7 gb of harddrive space left. If anyone can help me that would be great.

The celeron and the video card is a big problem, but i'd try updating the video card drivers first, and set the quality setting in game to low.

I mean my graphics card is pretty darn good. I have updated the drivers for that to the latest. They said that the demo requires only an 800mhz computer.

The problem with PC technology is that yes your card is good but it's good compared what?

Basically your video gfx card doesn't meet the minimum specifications. PES3 requires a directx8 capable video card (Geforce 3/Ati 8500 or higher) and the mx brand cards only support directx7.
Nvidia badged your Geforce4mx as a geforce 4 card when in fact it's old Geforce2 technology. (:/)

Have a search around though (specifically slow motion), some people have managed to get the game running with your vid card.

Garthon tell me how u made it work then coz i cant figure it out i updated to the latest drivers and i get a message cant initialized direct 3d .init and it used to work (SLOW AS) on my old drivers so some helpful information would be nice

Yah exactly, I agree with Riise and Garthon, the geforce4 should work, the mx that is. In the other games it doesn't give me any problems. Why would they make a geforce4 less than a geforce3? That doesn't make any sense.

im running a geforce4 MX 440, P4 1.6, 256MB ram and when i start the game i get the konami logo then it either starts flashing really fast (when in FS) or goes black (when in Win). The music then plays in the background and i can move through the menu, but all i can see is the black/the flashing
if anyone can help it would be really be appreciated

this has been identified as a problem with gforce cards and the 52.16 drivers. switch back to 4x.xx drivers and it will work...

It's dodgy on Nvidia' behalf. They're selling people Directx7 cards for gaming when Directx9 games are starting to appear.

from tomshardware http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/20020206/geforce4-06.html

Unfortunately, the 'GeForce4' name isn't very helpful and will cause a lot of confusion. While all GeForce3 cards sport the vertex shader feature ('nfiniteFX'), GeForce4 will not be so straightforward. The effect of this is that GeForce3 cards are actually far more advanced than GeForce4 MX cards! Be aware of that!

While GeForce4 Ti is the pinnacle of today's mainstream 3D chip technology, GeForce4 MX is a mere advance of GeForce2 MX technology. GeForce4 MX does not contain any nfiniteFX-engine and, therefore, no full DirectX 8.x functionality, either.
Search for Geforce there's plenty of people with the same card as you.

That was messed up what Nvidia did though to their GeForce4 MX cards. I wasted $100 on it in that case what a rip off.

Found something out last night that Geforce mx users might want to try. When I changed the crowd setting to away crowd off and home crowd on 1 star the slow down I was experiencing in the cut scenes disappeared.

Could be that the amount of textures they're using for the crowds are slowing your cards down, would explain why the game slows down in the penalty area. Try using Opera Lover's patch to turn down the crowds, or off entirely, to see if that gives any speed increase http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87470
I'm running a Geforce4ti4400 so might do nothing, worth trying though.

RIISE : PES3 is a PS2 exclusive as far as I know but the developers are keen on making PES4 for the xbox.
