Pes2008 /8800GT Crash

It sounds strange coz' 8800gt is one of the hottest VGA now. Think it may be related to the drivers only. Try choosing then re-installing the drivers. Actually it's not that the newest driver is suitable for any game and the settings of OS, sometimes only old driver is available.

Hope it may help.

I had a similar problem with my GPU. In the end it died completely and i got it changed for a different one.

might be cos the 8800 GT is getting too hot...check the temperatures mate, there are softwares that can tell u about the temperatures inside ur system (google it)

I have the same card (the MSI OC version, about 10% overclocked)

There is a notorious problem with the fan controller in the card bios,all first generation 8800gts have it. The card runs hot and eventually crashes. A lot of vendors released a bios update to fix it (EVGA, Sparkle and XFX among others). MSI hasn't so I fixed it by using Rivatuner a free third party gfx card tweaker.

There a lot of ways to set it up, the simplest is to increase the fan speed from the stock 25% to around whatever you can to not be bothered by its sound. I have it set on dynamic (fan increases speed with temperature) but I have the low value at 40% (with no extra fan noise) and it never goes over 45%. I'd say try to set it up at a steady 40% and see if the game crashes.
