PES2 could be like FIFA '96... just a thought.

I really could care less about authentic kits and stuff, even though they add some variety to the presentaion of players. However, remember FIFA '96? One colour shirt, one colour pants, stripes where necessary. Repeat.:)

So, if Konami WERE to get the full FIFA licence, they wouldn't then have to go out and spend all the money to get authentic kits. What I have seen in PES so far is more than adequate, and I think it is enough that you have a team name, players that look like the real ones and more importantly, play like the real ones.

And all that money that they save on buying kits could be used to get as many top leagues as possible (incl J-league) and maybe second division clubs? That way, every league could be like a mini-master league, where you take a softie like Nottingham Forest to eventually play with the Euro elite.

A game like that would make EA walk away sobbing....

BTW, I saw in a previous thread that Konami will have a full blown WC game. Will it be released in the US? (Please, please, please........)

I want to play even one of these PE titles. I cannot even find a used copy of PE1 for my US type PS1, and an emulator is out of the question, as this laptop sucks big time.:(

You guys are so lucky.

the one thing that has alays been missing form PES is the ability to change the kits of the teams. If Konami added this, I wouldnt want the exact kits. i dont want to add new ones necessarily, but to be able to choose from a set of maybe 25 templates similair to FIFA of old like you said. Most of the time I cant see the advertisers names anyway. In fact Id rather have names on the back of shirts.
