PES Random Discussion Thread

Since this forum is so dead I thought of creating a general discussion thread to see if there are any PES players still around.

===============================================

I'm playing a new type of tactic right now, it consists of:

- The goalie, 2 Center defenders
- 2 wing backs with good long passing
- 3 defensive/central midfielders with good passing, 2 of them with good long passing
- 1 dribbling/flair attacking midfielder
- 2 Target men strikers with good attacking (off ball), balance and heading

The way it works is that the center midfielders are a little more back in the midfield and control the ball with simple passing in between them. Two of these center midfielders will be a little to the side so when they get the chance (or the full backs) to be a little up the pitch and in some width they will send a long diagonal ball to the strikers. The strikers then try to head the ball. The attacking midfielder is there to occupy the opposing defense and can be used as a back-up tactic if the original one isn't working. The long ball to striker method works pretty well in PES2010. It's also a fun style to play since its something new to try.

Inter works well with this tactic but the best team for it in my opinion is Italy (with some initial squad changes):

GK: Buffon/Toldo
DC: Nesta/Chiellini
DC: Cannavaro/Gamberini
DR: Zambrotta/Oddo
DL: Grosso/Tonetto
MCR: De Rossi/Camoranesi
MC: Pirlo/Montolivo
MCL: Aquilani/D'Agostino
AMC: Cassano/Di Natale
FC: Gilardino/Iaquinta
FC: Toni/Inzaghi
