I must admit, FIFA is catching up RAPIDLY. The animations in FIFA are amazing, I've never seen animations quite like that.
its funny cause year after year the same argument goes on about pes and fifa. I must admit the fifa games do look good and this years no exception but no one can tell until youve actually played the game and year after year ea just cant get it right. PES again for me this year im afraid.

fifa07 copied the controllers.... they called it the "new configuration"
now , in fifa08, they copied the "manual passing" and guess what... it's the same as PES...

The thing about Fifa is that even with the next-gen graphics and animations, it still doesn't feel like proper football.

Are you serious? Fifa 07 current-gen is ****e, and Fifa 07 next gen was an average game but had too many flaws to be considered good. PES current-gen is the best soccer game available at the moment, and from the looks of things the torch will pass to PES 2008 in October.

as for fifa on the xbox 360, its just amasing, god it just plays life real football, yes its a really basic game but god its natural, its FOOTBALL!!!
As for pes, its strange now, its clear that fifa (fifa 06, 05 04 03 etc..) was making it look a lot better than it actually was.
Take my match today, my 360 started working whn i thought it was dead, so i had pes6 put in, i had no memory so i played a quick 10min match on regular difficaulty inter vs lyon,
i won 4-1, but what pissed me off and demonstrated im right with what i say was that THE PES CPU CHEATS, BIG TIME
PES IS SCRIPTEDLY REALISTIC, the goals i scored in the game: i was unmarked and the shot gauge was more than half full for 3 of them, had i done that on the 'top player', level the would've gone over, how the hell does that work, in fifa 07 the only thing that changes when you go up a level is how the cpu close you down, they play better and more clinical with their execution and handle their chances. It dosen't cheat like pro evo, makes you play really bad and makes life easy for them, i've seen a half of pes2008, same old thing as last year.
pes should've started from scratch instead of building onto of the current gen
tbh if they do that now, fifa will be way way waay to far ahead
its a shame, i've grown up with pes, its a part of my lif and my cosins etc... strange to b talking it down like this, but this is how it is

Even 08 next gen looks awful, just been watching the new gameplay vid, and the ball looks way to light, and moves in a really weird way!
Pes 2008 PC will totally piss over Fifa 08 simply because it's more satisfying to play, the graphics too is something that the community takes care of, and you'll have to admit the pes faces are way way better than fifa!
At the end of the day it comes down to one simple thing, how long will you keep coming back to the game? PES is the one!
You PES FANS check this video and then shut up. The AI take this guy life. Fortunately or Unfortunately PES is not even close to FIFA08. Better animations, better shooting and passing system and of course better graphics.

Why do we never hear any proper footballers endorcing the fifa game? Yeah they get mo-capped and paid a hell of alot, but they never say it's a fantastic game!
Where pes on the other hand i've lost count on how many pro's say they play it and think it's the closest thing to being on the pitch!
Just check this video out, the ball is the correct weight the AI is supurb and it will once again blitz fifa in the gameplay department!
