PES Fan Editor won't work with WE9 Option Files, Only PES 5 files??

OK, I broke down and purchased the Xbox version of WE9 since the pc release won't be until April in North America. I wanted to do some option file editing with the PES Fan Editor 5.03 but I cannot open any option files that are WE9. The editor will only open PES 5 option files.

I know earlier versions of the editor did work with both WE & PES. So I don't understand why I can't open any WE9 files this year. The WE9 file is recognized in the editor window. But when I try to open it I get the message "cannot open file".

I have tried to a WE9 option file that I created and also one from Operation Sports. I cannot open either of them. I don't think the files are corrupt.

Anyone else have this problem? Am I doing something wrong?
