My solutions for PES4 are:
Vsync Off
Sound Off
Graphic cards setup turn to Best Performance

Anybody have some other solutions?? Because my game working very bad like 30-60 sec when I start match or half time and after I score a goal. If i turn details to LOW and resolution 640x480 the situation is the same with 800x600 and HIGH details.

Grazie people!!

Get the NVRefreshTool 2.1a and apply 640x480 and 800x600 at a 60Hz screen refresh rate. That has helped me terribly. It don't matter what refresh rate your monitor is set to, but the game has to be set to 60Hz using that tool.

Konami actually did a bad job converting this game from PS2 to PC... which led to the game only running smoothly (60 frames/sec) on some video cards. I've a GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB AGP 8X and i tried running 1280x960 at medium image quality at 60mhz refresh rate, and it runs perfect (60fps)... but at 800x600 at low resolution with 70mhz refresh rate... it gets choppy.
So it has to be a problem with converting the game from ps2 to pc. also if you notice the ps2 pes4 lets you choose ntsc at 60mhz or pal which is lower... so something due with that

wtf?!?!?

ok, this really irks me...you are pinning it on the fact that the PS2 to PC translation is bad? come on...you're not a programmer, you're a gamer. get with the program...

why does it run perfectly well on my PC? oh! maybe it's because my PC meets the minimum requirements. yes, they can be found on the back of the jewel case:

windows 95se/me/2000/xp
intel pIII 800Mhz
128mb ram
4x dvd
nvidia geforce 3 or ati radeon 8500
directx8.1 compatible soundcard

those are the requirements to get the game to RUN.

now, if you want to have a pleasant gaming experience, you need the following:

windows 2000/xp
p4 1.5Ghz
256mb ram
nvidia geforce 4 ti or ati radeon 9600 or higher
blah blah blah

do you meet those requirements?

AFAIK, normal TVs usually have a refresh rate of 60MHz, with some older PAL TVs having lesser than that. Hence, it'd make sense that Konami programmed WE/PES to run up to 60MHz only, since that is what most people on PS2/Xbox will be running on. And since PES4 is a straight port from the PS2 version, I guess it's not meant to run more than 60MHz.....

But frankly, I don't really see why people are having trouble with the graphics.....I mean, the PS2's specs is equivalent to what PCs were 4 years ago, so anything newer should be fine.

My cpu more than meet recommended specs:

ihave: 2,0 GHz, 512 MB ddr ram, LCD monitor (12 ms responsetime) and nvidia GeForce 4 4200 ti 64 mb...and the game does not run smooth...i can polay at 800x600 and high...but its still not perfect so fu.ck off it should be running smooth since i have more than recommended specs!:f***:  :f***:  :f***:  :f***:

AMD 2.6
Radeon 9600XT

In replays i can get a frame drop.
Sometimes I also get noticable drop in frames during play. It happens randomly and there is no known cause why.
If i turn on AA/AF or only AF on 2x (the minimum i can), for better grass graphics, the grass looks way better but the problems get way worse.
I also have sound delays.
I can play only on 60hz, like almost all people here..
All this problems are present on any resolution i've tried.
I don't have problems with any other game i have.

So conslusion can be only one: it's a poor conversion and a poor job from Konami. I want a patch or i'll return the game back.

They actually converted the PS2 version so exactly that i occassionally have slowdowns in the box (i did own the PS2 version too)

I've got a Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz 512 Ram and a Radeon 9100. More than required, i guess.

The worst thing is the grass textures. they vibrate and "move" and it makes me feel dizzy after 5 minutes of play.

conversions are just bollocks.

I just bought a Ati Radeon 9600 XT and the game runs beatifully ay high details, BUT sometimes there are still some strange lines on the field. I think the monitor is the problem , because is an LCD and has a response of 30 ms.....Am I right?

Its obviousky KONAMI ****ed up the converting to the PC, because the highest you can select on the PS2 is indeed 60 hertz, and funnily enough its only on 60 hertz I, and most people can only get the game to work..

And the sound is ****ed aswell in the menus but not in-game..

it's because of VSync, try to put VSync ON.

This is a really rotten conversion ... you can tell there's a great game here that would run well on most rigs, but Konami apparently couldn't be bothered to optimize the game ... maybe there just aren't than many of us playing it on the PC.

I'm tempted to upgrade my video card from GeForce 4 Ti4400 but I'm afraid it won't matter.

The game is simply unplayable for me because I either have to live with wavy, headache-inducing grass or choppy play.

I guess I'll go back to PES3, which ran smooth as glass ...
