FIFA being the Graphics Master itself doesn't need all those high-expensive-system requirements.

Don't miss understand me, I like PES 3 even if it runs slow on my PC, and I like the graphics too, but Konami can't think that everyone lives for their games, or that everyone is rich enough to buy a new video card just to satisfy their MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.
I just hope that, as V-9 said in some other post, this is just a bug of the leaked demo version... it might be true that being a leaked version it could contain bugs being fixed by konami and that this was just a beta of the demo, and it might be fixed for the official demo and/or full game, but I found it hard to belive.

See ya!

Its not a bug, you simply won´t run a game on a DX7 card well. And DX8 are not that expensive to get especially if you live in Europe/USA.

don´t forget that this is the first time that pes is coverted to pc so the code needs more optimization so expect a better and less demander game next year

I did some research on my system P4 1.4Ghz Gforce 4 MX about 400 sdram. I tryed it with all kinds of settings and still the same except some improovements. I also will buy a decet vid card, its worth it for this game. For now I m using my bro's PC to play it. He has a Redeon 8600 1.1 Gzh Athlon 750 ddr ram.

Guys, if you can get ddr ram instead sdram might help. I tryed 256 ddr ram from my bro's pc and it works fine but with the wide cam sometimes the screen will get a slight shake when ever it gets crowded.

That's the huge problem pc games ever had. If you want your game to run smoother, you have to buy a new hardware (more ram, or new gfx, new mobos, etc) every new game. I don't know why everybody is complaining , nothing new about that...

Regarding the game relying hard on gfx cards, it has one reason. Every owner of a ps2 knows that it's games relies strongly on AI and physics, because of PS2 architeture. In we it isn't different, so it needs to use to much processor on the pc for this 2 issues, and left all the gfx tasks for the gfx cards.

We have to be patient with konami, it´s their first conversion to pc. It's normal that it takes 2 or 3 version to get the same fps and response times than in the console (with some resonable portability). Let's keep supporting then, cause at least they are not persisting on the same old sripts...

Those who want allways the newer gfx, use new computer parts and pay for that. Those who want to spent once in each 3 years, buy a console. But let's be patient with Kcet, because they love football, and respect it.

Hi I got 2 pc's:

first one:
Pentium 3 500 mhz
512 mb ram
Geforce 2 tnt 32 mb

Its runs very slow on that one but it works. There are no cinamatics in the game.

second one:
Pentium 4 2,3 ghz
1024 mb ram
Geforce 4800 ti

It works superb on this one but does that mean you need a brilliant PC for PES3?

Not brilliant, but you do need a decent PC with a fully Directx8 capable video card .

Hey, Fifa 2004 is for all the platforms and the demo runs super sweet. So don't tell me that a 2ghz or higher processor cannot handle PES3 AI. it's not because of the AI and physics. These two things are nothing for a processor. The conversion is bad. Just like GTA3 for Pc.

FIFA2004 run slow on my PC. It's playable but not as silky smooth as PES3 PC.

it does seem from what im hearing that the conversion between PS2 and PC isnt that good with PES3, but then again, its Konamis first attempt, if this one flops a bit, the next one will be spot on, mark my words.

it's a perfect conversion for me though.. the game is as smooth as the one on PS2.

maybe, but for a lot of people it seems a different story. The game on the PS2 for me is fine, no stutters or owt, im gonna download the PC demo in a few days, i doubt it will run as fast though, despite my PC being.,. pretty good.

I seriously think it might be their PC configuration. I tried it on some average PC and it still run smooth on mid or low details configuration.

well obviously you would think that would be the problem, but people who usually have good technical sense seem to be falling fowl of it. i dont know, its all a little too inconsistent.

Keep in mind, that this is a straight PORT of a PS2 game. I mean, it doesnt even have mouse support, which is almost a crime for a PC game. FIFA on the other hand, have dedicated teams coding for different platforms. Sure the code base is the same, but each team codes to the strength of each platform. They were built from ground up.

However PES was coded on PS2 and straight ported to without taking advantage of PC platform. As long as the game runs, job done. Think of it as an official "emulation" of the game.

Do I think its a lazy move by Konami? Yes I do.

Does it warrant comparison with FIFA? NO.

I dont think the conversion per se is bad, its just not a *proper* nor thorough conversion. Konami should have "PC-ize" it more, if you know what I'm saying.

This is weird because I have a good PC (AMD XP 1.4, 512 RAM, ATI 9500 pro) and the gameplay is a little too fast IMO.

also people who expect a new game to run on a tnt2 or geforce2/ATI 7000 series need to wake up. Its 2003 and those cards are like 5 years old. :p

thats true, but i bought my GeForce 4 last october...admitadly NVidia are at fault for maybe prettying up an old card and calling it new technology but to the average buyer, who doesnt know a heap about computers it was a good buy at the time. This game is the first one that i have hit a wall on. I dont think it was too much to assume that my card would have been able to handle this game.
