PES 2008 issues

Hello everyone,

I've recently installed PES 2008 on the PC.It's loads of fun.Been playing Fifa/Pes for more than 10 years...and I've always liked and hated kinda the same things about each.With all due respect for the great gameplay and hours of fun of PES 08,it looks like Fifa for the first time EVER is coming out on top this year.

However I have some complaints in the PES gameplay domain specifically.

1 - How do you change the controls ? I don't want Q,W,E,A,D and X ! I cannot find the option to change them,just switch the functios between them,but that's not good enough for me...

2 - What's up with AI players ? It's like...when the computer wants to score a goal it will do so even with the opposition of the Pope.They run twice as fast as my players,dribble THROUGH my players,it's like the ball is stuck to their feet and you can do nothing to avoid it.The AI turns so robotic at times it's frustrating...this seems to be Konami's view of "skill level"...

3 - Does anyone know any specific tips and tricks for the game ? I know the usual ones,pressuring an opponent,some tricks for dribbling,some for shots...but any other ? If somewhere there was a written guide (maybe even for older PES versions,I used to take the in-game trainings)..it would be gr8 to have it.

Well the main idea is that in order to elevate my playing so that I'm not stuck at difficulty level 3 anymore I need at least different controls.These ones are impossible.

Re:2: Very true. Sometimes, it seems like the game already thought of a nice score before you even kick off, and it will do everything in its power, which is everything, to make the game finish that way.

Re:3: You can buy one, but I haven't seen anything online yet.

BTW, am I the only one having problems with ML kit editing? Each time I create a kit, use the 'Scan' feature for uploading an image to the kit, save and quit the game, the added image will be gone when I restart. Am I doing something wrong?

On point #1:

Buy a controller. It's worth it.

On point #2:

Just had it happen to me this morning. The most frustrating thing is that you can tackle the ball away from the CPU 3, 4, 5...times and it just keeps bouncing right back to their feet. More frustrating still is when the CPU has decided before the game that all of your shots are going to be off target or straight at the keeper leading to a 2-1 loss although you outshot the apponent 24-2. This actually happened to me using Man U. vs Liverpool. AND one of their goals was a shot that hit my keeper square in the chest but somehow still went in. Most of the time the game is great, but sometimes I need to buy a new controller.

#2 i was playing bolton in league mode, AI decieded they were gonna cheat and win 2-0 no matter what.i was so frustrated by them i quit with 1min to go and reloaded the game, same result! tried another 4 times before i thought 'sod it' and took the loss. next game was against man u (i was newcastle btw) and i won 3-0 easy and no cheating AI. why o why do konami feel it needs to make the AI cheat?!

theres nothign wrong with keyboard, im equally good at controller and keyboard.

but on topic, aside from the stupid keepers, one thing that really annoys me and this has been in PES since god knows when, but on restarts when you want to make a short pass you can't choose the guy you want to pass to even if you turn to face him!!! wtf, i had a few times when i tried to pass it when im near my own goal instead it passes it to the other player who just happens to be near an opponent who then just taps it in the goal....
