Perhaps Konami should develop the next gen PES/WE on XBox 360 instead of the PS3...

I don't have time to keep up with all the latest tech news but from what I've just heard, the PS3 will not have the specs and graphics power that was originally advertised. The Cell Processor originally had 8 SPE's (Synergistic Processing Element) but will end up with 5 or 6.

When it's all said and done, the Xbox 360 might be the more powerful system.

So why don't Konami develop the game based off the 360 instead?

Because Konami's main market is Japan and in Japan the Xbox360 doesn't sell at all. Sony also has a much bigger marketshare than Microsoft (consoles) worldwide.

So it makes little sense for them to develop it primarily for the Xbox360.

Thanks. And while you're at it, tell him to get rid of the invisible barrier. :)

Eh, it was just a thought. I just hope Sony doesn't skimp out with the PS3 design and the independent reports are not entirely true-but I won't be surprised if the portal is again based off the weaker system.

From what I read the reason why Developers can only use 6 of the SPE's is due to that extra one running the "OS" at all times. The xbox 360 does the same thing. At all times one of the 6 threads is in use for the "OS", thats why you can get live messages and such during regular play and it has zero effect on performance.

Well theres a great chance we will see "real" ingame graphics from the ps3 this E3 next month. Then we can really compare :jambo:

I got banned from EvoWeb cause some mods (Kezz) are not in my league when it comes to computer knowledge but who cares..plenty of other boards around..

I'm still at evoweb with "wejunky" username.
