So you reffer me missing with inzaghi who shoots straight through the middle miles over the bar while i only tapped the shoot button to real life??
plz explain.

ps penalty shooting aint lottery, lottery means everybody got equal chances, but with penalty shootout the taker is in favour. And a good penalty is unstoppable for the keeper.

why do I come with real life **** ? Imagine that a good tap, a good aimed PES-penalty with a good player couldn't be stopped nor missed. It's not realistic, and if you won't accept that, there's just no fun in converting every penalty. A good taken penalty (talking in PESterms, a good tap) SHOULD be able to go wide or be stopped. there is always a luckfactor, and a badluck one, in football.

I refer to the guy who said that PES penalties were better than FIFA penalties. Not trying to start another PES vs. FIFA argument, but FIFA penalties do give the feeling of extra tension.

If you haven't noticed, during penalties your controller vibrates rhythmatically, like a heart beating. That is a small feature, but is cool, and adds to the feeling of tension.

And the powerbar would be better than this pressure-sensitive system. Think of the people using keyboards, man.

I just missed 3 (!) PKs in one game. On each one I barely tapped the shoot button and I skied all 3 shots. I want to say that I just suck and need to learn how, but nobody in this thread has been very helpful about tips. Do you hold down the direction while you shoot? Do you ever miss going low? Any REAL tips would really be appreciated.

PK are **** and random.

Maybe if we had a power bar then it would be better, because now its just hit and hope.

Also when my keeper saves it the collision modelling on this game sucks donkey balls and the ball bounces back of his elbow and goes in, lame.

I agree that the penalties need abit more work on. I think it's impossible to 100% miss a penalty on purpose in PES/WE. I have tried holding all buttons down, rapidly pressing them etc. it's just no way

Why don't they make the penaltys like in the old ISS on the N64?
You would contol where the shot went with the analog stick, but the shot didn't always go exactly where you want it to go, going slightly "off-target"..
So, if you want to risk it and shoot it right in the corner, you would have a chance to miss it, but if you played safe and didn't shoot to far of to a side, there was almost no chance to miss it... Wouldn't this be a good PK control method?

Yeah, that's a problem... You could hold the arrow keys for a given amount of time to place the "invisible cursor" on the goal, and then shoot, for instance..
