I wonder your note when after game relase ppl will start creating threads like "rate fifa2005!", "my humble review of fifa2005", "what do you think about fifa2005?" etc etc.

everyone will write own feelings surely and there will be many mini reviews, each review with other rate, it just depends on which fanboy rate which game :P

Fifa series always get an average score of 8.5 on all reviews, and they are always bad games, instead Pes games always get 9+ ...

but at the end, its true, it depends on who reviews the game... and surely ive seen Mouta's posts on other forums and its funny he says he is not biased !!!

Gotta love that review. The guy didn't even bother making a proper review and who can blame him, he's got PES4. I wonder what you would choose if the choice was a kick in the nads by an elephant or a night of pure, uncontrolled passion with the chick of your dreams.

Yeah, FIFA is still same old, same old...crap!

It's fair enough if you were just a fan and could afford to be biased. But when you're a reviewer you have to take every game as it is and give it a proper review. If it's his job to review games then I must say that he doesn't take his job very seriously.

It appears obvious the guy who reviewed FIFA 2005 didn't like the game enough to go into full depth.

That's why it's so short.

Well, who says a review has to be 4-5 pages long?

I'd agree that mentioning game modes and other relevant game information would have been appropriate but then again...it probably resembled those of earlier Fifa games. In some of the game magazines i've read, theres games who gets a 2-3 page review...those games are usually the good and interesting ones. Then theres games who only get a half page review...those are usually bad ones and thus not worth taking up page-space. Its pretty normal and i guess this review (however on the internet) reflects that.

And of course people of this forum will start talking negatively of the reviewer who gave a Fifa game 60% - but how can they say its ridiculous when they havent even tried out the game themselves yet?

Lets just face it. Reviewers are different and there will always be some amount of variety in review scores. The tendency just seems to be that Fifa games are getting lower and lower scores overall.....

If he didn't like the game, he shouldn't have to write 4+ pages to just tell you guys how he didn't like it. That in itself should be a good message to EA for them to realise adding a quick 'ball flick' to the new FIFA isn't enough to grab that much attention.

The truth hurts.

Danish magazine "Privat Computer" is giving Fifa 2005 a score of 70% - reviewer stating that its more of the same of the same and he's getting very tired of EA adding one feature-only every year and in general...very tired of EA releasing a hurried game every year instead of developing it right and releasing it in 2-3 years.

His comment:
"why couldnt they take the 3 main features from the past 3 titles and put into one game?"

I think it's fair to say that most reviewers gave Fifa 2005 a very good rating(way too good imho).
And the reason is these reviewers are hardcore gamers who probably only played games for most of their life and I bet my life savings that 90-95% of these reviewers either don't know how to even kick a ball, or really suck at soccer.
Maybe to hardcore video gamers, fifa 2005 is a good game with neat new features, but people who know what soccer is supposed look and feel like will ultimately switch to PES/Winning Eleven.

Yeh YEh, another PES Vs FIFA thread. That is what these discussions always turn into!

I love PES3 but I also love FIFA 2005. Both games offer very different gaming experiences but ultimately they are both extremely enjoyable to play. They both have their strengths & weaknesses but hey, which game doesn't?

I got FIFA 2005 the other day for my new Xbox (which I bought in readiness for PES4) & I have to say that it's bloody good. I totally disagree with these people who say that they don't feel like they're in control of the player & that shooting is ****. These people must be **** players because the game flows beautifully & shooting is challenging which it should be!

So my recommendation is that if you have any interest in FIFA 2005 then do not hesitate to add it to your collection. Ignore the reviews that score it harshly because I truely believe they have closed minds & only wish to compare it to PES series. They are different games people. Enjoy them both for what they have to offer!

FIFA 2005 & PES4, both outstanding games!
