PC Demo vs PS2 version

i must say i don't understand any of the complaints here about the demo. if there ever was a truthful port of a game from the PS2 to PC, than it must be this one.

the PC demo plays EXACTLY like the PS2 version... minus maybe some very, very tinys aspects. i could not believe it, especially after i have read all the negative comments.

that said: i had problems first.. the mapping of my Logitech dual action gamepad was off and both the menus and the players were unresponsive and slow (this to the guy who complained about slow response players). what i did is open the "setting" file in the demo folder and remapped all buttons of the gamepad. now it works like a charm. i have a 2.3 GHZ Pentium 4 and a default Radeon 9600 card. a run-of-the mill home PC for about 900 bucks. Nothing to write home about, but the game runs absolutely smooth and -- again -- at the exact same speed/specs/feel as the PS2 version.

i guess it's finally bye-bye to my good old Playstation. and thank you Konami for this great port.

roll on the mods!

PES 3 sure rullz !

I have just one question : you say it's the same speed as PS2
I don't own a PS2 and my feeling is that the game is a "little too quick", because (I always have 60 fps), I have counted that those "5-min half" last about 3 mins...

That makes the game quite nervous, and still realistic, except that the players' legs are moving a little unrealisticly too quick when they are running... But I love it that way, anyway !
Of course, despite this speed issue, there's still no comparison with fifas, the pleasure with PES3 is awesome !

could u make that same test (counting a real halftime duration) and tell me if the game isn't playing too quick on my PC

to lord bimus: try switching on Anti Aliasing and Anisotropy filtering in your 9700 card. should slow the game a little. Yes, the speed problem is a big mistake and hopefully it is not the final codes.

This is the best soccer game ever and a good port from PS2. The menus and playstation style controls don't bother me at all. I like being able to load it up and not have to use mouse+keyboard at all. I've bought a Logitech Dual Action pad just for PES3 and it's flawless control. The speed of the players seems realistic to me. Watch a real Premiership game and compare it to PES3 in action youll see that high speed is important.

to keemo : the ingame speed is not a "feeling" : I feel comfortable and I realllly enjoy this game.
But to know if the game's speed is right, a 5-min half should last...5 min !
That's objective !!!!
My halves last about 3 min, so I'd like to have the *right* speed, even if I enjoy this game !!!

IT'S AWESOME

I knew it : I bought ISS pro evo 2 on PSX-One (without the console) and I played it on emulator... instead of FIFA !!!!
