there are lots of cruicial match every where every week. i think most of you guys just can't accept you get beaten by man utd, your bitter rival. the article from sky sport telling gunners fan should not be too heavy heart. 49 games unbeaten are great. you know it yourself, not many team can do that even in decade. we do win, but you guys still 8 points in front, still top of the table. as man utd fans, i do hope arsenal have another few games lose or draw and we might have chance to close the gap.

Accepting defeat is not the problem. It's the manner of the defeat.

Yeah, and the United fans think that it was fair and the Arse fans don't, the same as if exactly the same had happened just the other way round the Arse fans would be going on about how great the were and gthe United fans would probably be trying to argue it was unfair. I personally think it was fair, ok, the penalty desicion could have gone either way althogh there was definitely contact (find a video, slow it down and watch it if you don't believe me) we had a fair call for a penalty turned down later on and we had a perfectly legal and fair goal which secured the win.
There was some foul play but it came from both sides, you can't just single out the United players.
At the end of the day, you didn't perform well enough for the occasion and you lost.

Suits me(H)

LOL Payahh comparing last years incident to Rudds challenge on COLE.

Yea the Arsenal players got IN Ruuds face. They didnt try to injure him deliberatly. And they were all suspended and fined. They didnt come with Studs straight into his knee.THEY had to pay for what they did. And now I think Rudd should at least be suspended 1 game for that reckless challenge.

SH#T if Rudd wants to play dirty we might as well bring guns and knives next time to OT

These Arsenal fans are just as whiny and deluded as their manager. Well as they say, the apple don't fall too far from the tree.

Ruud has been charged anyhow, there, you got what you wanted. But we still have Smith & Saha as cover so we'll cope .:amika:I'm happy Ruud got his revenge for what happened last season, it's a pity he Keown couldn't be there. Wenger has been asked to explain his comments about Ruud and Rooney being divers/cheats, but we know he'll get away with that.

You Gooners are talking, what about Edu's tackle on Scholes, Bergkamps boxing punch on Smith and Lehman manhandling Rooney at the corner flag?

You're just a bunch of pussies just like your manager/players.

We got 3 points in the bag anyway, and looking forward to taking three more at the Library next year.

Cheat jibe sparked tunnel fury

An angry confrontation between Arsene Wenger and Ruud van Nistelrooy sparked the row in the dressing room corridor at Old Trafford yesterday.

The incident left a member of the Arsenal backroom staff with a bloodied nose and Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson covered in food.

Wenger is understood to have called the Dutch striker a cheat following his horrific studs-up challenge on Ashley Cole. Van Nistelrooy escaped a booking for the challenge but the Football Association said today they would be studying video evidence of the tackle before deciding whether to charge him for the foul.

The FA are also considering whether to launch an investigation into the ugly tunnel row which exploded after the game. Privately United are furious at the behaviour of the Arsenal players but will not publicly call for an FA probe.

According to sources at Old Trafford, Ferguson was forced to change out of his suit and tie into a track suit top to carry out a television interview after being covered in soup thrown from the Gunners dressing room.

Arsenal insiders counter that Fergsuon was not hit by soup but a sandwich, thrown by accident in frustration at the 2-0 defeat which brought their 49-game Premiership unbeaten run to an end.

Wenger, along with his players, was furious that Van Nistelrooy escaped with no censure from referee Mike Riley for his first-half challenge on Cole.

The Arsenal manager spoke to Van Nistelrooy after the match in the narrow walkway that leads out into the tunnel area. Van Nistelrooy retaliated with a verbal attack of his own and players from both sides - including Cole, Patrick Vieira and Jens Lehmann of Arsenal and Roy Carroll and Gary Neville of United - joined the argument.

England striker Wayne Rooney was also on the receiving end of cheat jibes for the way he earned a penalty following a challenge from Sol Campbell. Van Nistelrooy converted the spot kick and Rooney added a second to seal the victory.

Ferguson, alerted by the shouting and angry voices, left the United dressing room to see what was happening and reportedly told Wenger: "You have to control your players".

Arsenal dismiss claims that he had to go to change his shirt because he had soup thrown at him saying there was no soup in the dressing rooms. They also claim there was no water squirted at him.

He did go back to put on a tracksuit top for his post-match television interview but an eye-witness said: "Within minutes he had his collar and tie back on. That was some change."

Arsenal equipment manager Paul Johnson was accidentally left with a bloody nose in the incident after staff from both clubs tried to separate the players, helped by security men.

And Arsenal captain Vieira had no doubt who was responsible for sparking the angry scenes. He was critical of referee Riley who, he said, cost Arsenal the match with his decision to award United a penalty.

There was also anger at his failure to punish Van Nistelrooy for the Cole tackle and for his decision not to book Rio Ferdinand for a first-half challenge on Freddie Ljungberg when he was through on goal.

"Every time we play here it is the same thing," said Vieira. "It is difficult because only the referee can talk about it, he is the one who makes the decision.

"But he made some decisions where you can ask 'What is going on?' and right now we are really quite upset about the way we lost the game because if we had been outplayed we would say they were better than us.

"The decision of the referee to give a penalty changed the game. But we are used to this kind of decision when we play against Manchester United at Old Trafford and we just have to accept it."

Van Nistelrooy could be hit by a three-match ban if the FA charge him over the tackle. They will also investigate Wenger's post-game criticism of Riley and Van Nistelrooy.

-------------

What a pathetic and disgusting team you Gooners support.

It's obvious they were starting to believe the hype that they were invincible. Now you can't handle a defeat to your rivals. Bitter!

Soup throwing bastards. Can any of you Gooners explain how someone can throw a sandwich by accident?

Ok. Man Utd's win was tainted because of a cowardly ref. The results show that they won and I and every Arsenal fans should accept that. But the match showed that Man Utd can only win against skillful teams by kicking the opposition's legs. Looking at the way they target Reyes again (like last year's FA Cup) showed that they did not want to play football because they knew they wouldn't keep up.

And their fans are the biggest hypocrites ever. I remember last year when you guys were whining when you lost to Porto because of diving and the ref's decision. Now that it was in your favour, you try to defend it by saying your team played better, and that those decisions were correct. I also remember how you fans kept crying about how you might've won the League if Ferdinand wasn't banned. Well was it the FA's fault that he forgot to piss in a cup?

This also shows how ethnocentric the English are. In a week's time everyone will forget about Rooney diving because he's English. But everyone will still talk about Pires' dive from LAST YEAR. It's a known fact that only foreigners dive:rolleyes:.

Also it's funny how anyone can try to justify what Ruud did. He stomped on a player's knee. That could've ended Cole's career but according to you Man Utd fans he "tried to protect the ball".

It's funny how you fans think that last year's incident is worse compared to having players getting kicked. Just shows how blind you guys are.

I will end this off by saying that Man Utd WON'T win ANY trophies this year as tehy have 2 teams that are better than them. And I hope that Glazer buys your team and runs it down to the ground.

And Arsenal can't keep up with United's strength  Why should we use our skill, when we can beat you with strength.

Don't tell me you think Arsenal fans are different.

umm no! You think everyone forgot about Neville's dives already? And the only reason why Pires was brought up is because Arsenal fans said that we can only win with diving

Also it's funny how anyone can try to justify what Ruud did. He stomped on a player's knee. That could've ended Cole's career but according to you Man Utd fans he "tried to protect the ball".
I don't say that he tried to protect the ball and i have to say he did the RIGHT thing. Cole was flying in at him full speed, which probably would have swept Ruud off his feet and a few meters in the air, so it's either to jump or stamp on him. It was Cole's fault he went in that hard and fast, plus he deserves it for what he did last year, sadly it wasn't Keown.

It's funny how you fans think that last year's incident is worse compared to having players getting kicked. Just shows how blind you guys are.
In terms of injury, this was worse, but in terms of insult and disrespect last year was WAY WORSE.
