England's loss brought the first smile to my face since what happened to us yesterday.

England got outclassed, and in 2 minutes broke-down to the team everyone knows.

It was a boring game until France scored the 2 goals though. Lots of slipshoddy football played, and no one was really stellar. Both sides wanted to score wondergoals, neitherside did, except for Zidane's freekick, that was something else.

I don't think the match lived up to the overall hype, everyone said it was going to be quality football, but it really wasn't. And Wayne Rooney needs to take some ******* chill pills, btw.

This does remind me a lot of Portugal-England from Euro 2000...

What was with france sticking so rigidly to their pass-it-wide-and-put-in-a-cross game? Just about every single attack they had went out the wing, and the subsequent cross was cleared by England. FFS, if there is one thing that English defences can do, it is head the ball. Of the ten billion zillion crosses that Pires etc put in, I think that maybe one or two got to a player. Why did they have to keep trying? It's not like Henry, or Trezeguet, are particularly good in the air. The only moments that they ever looked dangerous was when they kept the ball low, and actually passed. I don't believe that France really deserved to win .

Agreed on most of it, it wasn't one of the best matches till Beckham missed his penalty kick. The match was hyped up after that where the French players thrilled about the Barthez's save. It always turns out the opposite way in these kind of situations. I believe that if there wasn't a penalty kick, France could of lost it 1-0. That missed penalty kick is the turn around point which hyped the french players.
