This game should be a test for us, we drew there last season and Charlton are a good side but I think we can definately compete with the likes of them this season. They've made more signings than us but Im not too worried about that

We signed Ricardo Fuller on a pay as you play basis today, so that's good. He'll join up with the squad and should but hasnt signed in time to take part in the game which sucks. But atleast now we have 3 good strikers which is brilliant!

No Matty Holland for them, that's a big loss but Rommedahl looks set to start so too Jeffers and Brian Hughes. Doesnt really worry me too much. Rommedahl is very fast but I think Linvoy will be able to take care of him.

Gary O'neil (England U21 Captain) Looks set to start his first game of the seasoh because of Richard Hughes' Calf injury. Gary's a good player but hardly ever plays, you might remember the goal he scored V Leeds last season when we won 6-1? But he's a good promising player, was gonna go on loan to Leicester but I want him to stay and hopefully he plays well and proves a point.

They've got a good midfield, but that's about it, defensively and offensively they're nothin special.

Like I said up there I'd much rather have our striking force than theres.

It's just a case of performing on the day eh. But yea hopefully Fuller can do well. We're apparently gonna get 1 of these 2 guys we're trackin, Dadane and some other guy. But West Brom are also after him (figures). He'd prefer to come to us he said but Anderlecht said he can join a better team. Bit of a diss but he wants to come.

So hopefully we get another striker, Arry said he want's 4 so yea, it's lookin good.

The Carrick deal was a bit of a pisser, he was ready to go but then ARSENAL messed it up by sayin they might be intrested. I mean yo wtf? MIGHT? U either want him or u dont. So then his head was everywhere, he of course jus wanted Arsenal, then they said they don't want him.

Now it's heard that he's either gonna go to Spurs or stay at West Ham. He and the club are probably fed up after all the people sayin they wanted him. No1 wanted him untill we did?

anyways, pompey really need to turn it around. At half time possession wise- Charlton have 58% possession and Portsmouth only have 42%, thats not good for us at all. Both teams have had 8 shots, 6 on net for Charlton and 5 on net for Portsmouth.

But yea, it sounds very bad, im listenin on the radio, although I hate listenin to matches, it's boring to listen to. All I hear is 'Pompey break.. and Charlton recover.. Now on the break' It's annoying.

I heard Yakubu started brightly but faded, and Lua lua looks like the only one who can make somethin happen. I just hope we can pull through. We drew there last season and were down at halftime 1-0

Second half to start soon, last year Pompey came out with a change of formation and got the equaliser. Hopefully that can happen again. By the sounds of it i'd bring on Matty Taylor.

Well, there it is, a 2-1 end result with Charlton being the winners. I cant believe that Hislop let a ball run under his legs for a goal , oh boy...... A 1-1 result would have been nice, but this loss is going to really hurt in the point standings. From looking at the stats, Charlton seemed to dominate, 62% possession compared to pompeys' 38%, Charlton had more shots and more shots on net. I hope that pompey can rebound from this embarassing loss.
