Other Management Games

I am the creator of US Soccer Manager and want to post great-looking screenshots. I recently skinned the game and it looks very good.

However, I'm not sure where to post these. The General Games forum isn't really soccer-friendly.

To quote Shifty Henriksen, the propietor of Soccer Gaming Homepage:
First of I need to thank John Stovall for making me aware of the game. If more of you guys out there did so, we could include more of the - hmmm - not-so publicly acclaimed games out there. Would be great; Bet there are many nice surprises even yet to be found on the internet data stream =) Hell! Where would Championship Manager 4 (more of that one later =) be without SaaP?

Maybe we need an 'other management games' forum, for such games USSM, SAAP, Actual Coach, and other 'underdog' SMGs.

I do want to take this opportunity to thank Soccer Gaming for posting various USSM news.

Championship forum in a new thread. Not the CM4 screenshot showoff. ;)

I have plenty of contacts around the CM scene, If you would like to get in touch with me, I could point you in the direction of a few people who may be willing to promote your game. MSN: [email protected]

I have no clue what www.soccered.com is about to be honest, but I see footy games on there. Maybe if you have a demo of some sort, then they may be able to host it. Don't take my word for it though.

Good luck with the game. (Y)

Or someone could perhaps setup a "other games" subforum in the management corner?
It's not good to have only CM, Football Manager, and TCM in there. I do know about the general games dicussion, but hey, management games are not general games :p

Well the CM forum would only be a temporary fix, and I would be ostracized for having a non-CM game. (Like I was in the screenshot forum. ;) )

The best way to fix this is to have a forum where indie SMG developers or players could talk about different games, since I'm sure some people enjoy Sick as a Parrot more than Championship Manager.

But the difference is, it was a CM4 screenshot thread. Create a new post promoting your game and people won't mind. - Hopefully.

Indeed that would be good. You could even discuss coding, then go on to create editing tools for CM4. *Hint, hint* ;)

I'll try to update soccered with lesser known games, i'll give you a mention.

SG has news on these games, like you said, which is good.

Soccered would be a help, but I'm still after my original goal - getting a generic any-other-management game forum.

Just because TCM and CM lead the market does not mean that Soccer Gaming can't devote a forum to SAAP, FourFourTwo, USSM, and actually any other soccer game, not just SMGs. Independent developers could use it.

voetballiefhebb:
I'm not interested in CM4. To quote a playtester, ...'this [USSM] is shaping up to absolutely murder any other manager game.' And he played with the Australian league, not MLS, and I want to make it do that.

This falls under Other Games. There won't be another forum created for Other Management games. We used to have that, with "Other Football Games", it didn't work out, so we changed it to General Games Discussion forum.

Yes, but General Games Discussion is primarily non-soccer games. The first soccer game I saw was seven topics down, 10 including stickies.

With a site called 'Soccer Gaming' you should at least bring back 'Other Football Games'. Just because these games don't dominate the industry doesn't mean that the site should ignore them completely.

Actual Coach
Allenatore
Football Fanatic
Sick as a Parrot
US Soccer Manager
Tactical Manager
LMA
Codemasters
New Star Soccer/World Cup Manager 2002
Hobo Soccer
Tactical Soccer
...any other soccer game out there.

This site should NOT be limited to EA Sports and Sports Interactive game. You even have a PES/WE/ISS vs FIFA forum.

Add this forum and I will promote it, send out a letter of notice to developers, etc. It doesn't even have to just be Soccer Management Games.

Why can't you just use the General Games forum?

The forum is whatever you make out of it.... if you people post management games in it, it will have management game topics.

Talk to Matt or Lior, but seeing as we just deleted the forum for Other Football Games, I doubt they will bring it back.

The problem with General Games discussion is that it blights management games! Even though it will have management topics, people are not expecting to talk about Soccer Games to the same extent that they would with its own forum.

And when did they take down the Other Footy Games? I don't remember ever seeing one.
