What I really wanted to find out was whether my copy of windows XP was causing poorer performance. Has anyone tried it on Windows 98 and XP and noticed a difference between them?
It might help if you post your specs as well as the driver version you are using.
Up until now everything has run fine on my PC but I do know running games in windows XP can cause a slight performance hit.
My Specs:
Athlon XP 2600+
512MB PC3200 DDR RAM
Geforce 4 MX 440
Sound card- Hercules 5.1 Muse XL
OS - Windows XP
PS. I know the graphics card is unsupported and slows it down but that is not what I am asking. I want to know if going to windows 98 makes a difference to the speed of the game.
