Online WE9 gameplay improvement

Online play is a great way to just expand your skills and just play different kinds of players which just brings more depth to the game but there are some improvements that I would like to have.
First the ranking should not be based on points for division 1 and 2. There are some that are better ranked that have horrible winning records and are in Division 1. It seems like one can be in division 1 as long as you just play a lot you know. I can understand the point system for amateur but not dor higher divisions. One should be ranked by winning % and then if tied by goal ratio.
When one is in division 1 one just feels that there is little to play for. I mean of course to win but one cant lose or go up a division just try to get more points. There should also be scheduled tournaments that one can sign up!!! this would be so fun and challenging and it is a possibility that konami has to have in mind. Maybe we still need more players who knows. There should also be like a stats of the day with the top scorer and assister and just bring more to the game to challenge.

What do you guys think?? Please share your insights

I think Konami can improve the WE9 online experience, especially in the ranking aspect. Zero pretty much summed up the current ranking system. For example an average player who gets 1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss for every 3 matches that he plays will always gain points over time. This is because you are given around 65pts for a win, 17pts for a draw, and -17 for a loss. Even if you win 1 game and lose 2 games for every 3, you will be up by 30pts provided you don't play the same guy too many times. That's because there is a cheater-prevention-system where point reward for a win is reduced to 20pts if you beat the same guy twice in a row or more.

This means the number of games that you play is a factor in determining the world rank and theoretically any average player (33% win rate) can become #1 as long as they play a lot of different people. Yes being good helps but the fact that being average is enough to become #1 in the world as long as you play enough games is kind of disturbing.

In reality I don't think there are many players with win rate below 50% that are in the top 50 but the ranking system could still use some improvement. For example, streak bonus where amount of point awarded is increased in proportion to the number of games you've won in a row. Konami will have to figure out the details but the reward point formula can definately use winning % and streak modifiers. This will push the consistent and better players up the ranks faster than the hard working but only average-skilled players.

Also, online play can use the tourney mode. How great would it be if you could make a 4-ppl or 8-ppl tourney room for interested players to join. Then the game matches up the players (by rank maybe), eliminating the losers in each round and matching up the winners for the next round. 4 person tourney will only take 2 rounds, and 8 people tourney 3 rounds. Of course, the reward for coming in 1st place should be great. How about 60 x 4 = 240pts for winning the 4 person tourney, or 60 x 8 = 480pts!!! for winning the 8 person tourney. Now that would be worth bitchin and fighting over in the lobby after the game!!! :rockman:

Well, the only thing with the tournament is that people with different connections would be in it. Unless konami has like special lobbies. It would suck to play a red or yellow connection guy you know. Some peeps are arranging small tournaments at http://www.freewebs.com/weleague/ which i think its cool but still I just wonder about the connection problem. I would also like to be able to watch games by other people. There are times when you have buddies that play good and you just wanna see the game you know. Just an idea... anyway is there anyway that we can send messeges and suggestions to Konami?

wats up guys
http://www.freewebs.com/weleague/
i joined this tournament and wat we do is that it's only for people in canada USA and Mexico, and by this way we didnt get any lag, but still it's an amateur thing, and it would be really nice if winning eleven 10 has a tournament.

Is there any konami official place where they would have news or upcomming news of additions on the online play or official patches... or ... is there an email to contact them to give some suggestions?
