Online updates for FIFA on the PS2

Hey guys sorry if I'm posting something that's already been posted, but I haven't been here for a while. I was just wondering why has there been no squad updates for the PS2. I pop my fifa disc in the other day and connect online expecting there to be roster updates with all the transfers going on and there's absolutely nothing, I mean if EA can do it for other titles like Madden and Live, why tack it on to FIFA if it isn't going to be utilized.
