Ello,

been playing FM online for a long time, now with version 5.0.5 the other players who are joining on my servers (either while playing with 2 or 3 players) are randomly thrown out of the game without them noticing it as their game freezes waiting for me, the host, to continue.

For me as host the game just continues without them. After this happens they can not join the game anymore. After I restarted my computer and FM they can log onto the game again. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix this? Ive got a fast DSL connection so that shouldn't be the problem...

Sounds like you get disconnected from your provider, or maybe a firewall kicking in at the wrong time. Were you in contact with your opponents through MSN or something, and if so, did that connection stay up? (I'm definitely no expert at this, though)

I tried looking for this or a similar problem on the SI board, but nothing there really resembles it.

I know I have been looking as well. I have been chatting with them on MSN yes and that connection didn't go down. They are randomly thrown out of the game while it continues at my end. And it takes a while before they can rejoin the game without the error message appearing...very weird all mostly because it didnt happen before 5.0.5
