Why are you shouting about Liedson? He doesn't dive, he is just too quick and weak of bones...but he is the best striker in the Superliga right now along with Mccarthy. I don't include Luis Fabiano still there, because he still isn't playing his best.

Talking of the game, Porto won well. If the Colombians had won, it would have been an injustice. Porto stroke 2 times the ball at the bar and 2 times at the post. Once Caldas GK made a fantastic game too.

I agree, Porto's goals were legit in my opinion.......J.C. Henao (Once's GK) played all Libertadores games like this one, his best game was in Brazil against Sao Paulo, where he saved every attempt at goal.....not counting the PKs against Boca.

Heard a lot of him too. Looks like he is a hero there in Colombia. He is a great GK, he made some great defenses against Porto. He even made defenses with the eyes...:P

but it was great to know that Porto won it in the end. from what i've seen and heard in the news Porto were the best team all the way, so i think this is a well deserved victory.

and 17 years later we win the Intercontinental Cup again
this was the 2nd cup for Porto and for Portuguese clubs as well

a special word for Once Caldas and it's fans, you should be proud to have reached this far, very few teams have made it. Congrats! now you're known all over the world

Btw did you see what was Jorge Costa´s weight? 93 kg, he really needs a diet, those "Tripas á moda do Porto" are killing him. John Hartson looks skinny compared to him.

P.s He also converted his penalty with such ease and cool, i bet Porto fans were praying when he step up to score. I reckon that the Porto centre backs scored the best penalties (Jorge Costa, Pedro Emanuel and Ricardo Costa).

Diego took the best PK in my opinion. He simply buried it!! I couldn't watch JC's penalty, I honestly thought he was going to miss!!!!

What a great penalty shoot-out , it really would of been sad if Porton lost that game because they were obviously the best team for the entire 120 minutes and they should of won the game 2-0 because both goals that were called off should were good goals imo but oh well they still won it and now they are bringing the Intercontinental Cup back to Europe where it will stay forever (or until FIFA decides to go back to this format ).

i got a question about that cup.
i had heard that the title for "World champion" that year was void for that cup and instead given to Boca Juniors (who beat Real Madrid in the final a month before) and thats why that cup was then considered a "Friendly World tournament" instead of world champ.

Im pretty sure thats true. (Either way I still always kid around my Brazilian friend <who is a corinthians fanatic> when i tell him that they arnt world champs.
