Saturday night, Canada gets 3 medals in the space of 1 hour....Gold and Bronze in women's wrestling and silver in 2 man rowing. Sunday morning Canada gets a bronze medal in 1500 meters freestyle swimming....should've been silver or maybe even gold you know.

The reason why your country (aswell as others, some who have been tested more than Jamaica) are being thoroughly tested at these events is because your Olympic governing body has suspiciously and unwisely chosen to dodge the World approved independent agency Wada. That, coupled with not having an internal doping detection program of their own, is why Jamaica is being taken to task here in Beijing.
It's pretty simple. Conform to the guidelines set out by Wada, create an in-house anti-doping institution that is supervised by Wada and enforced by the government of Jamaica and you wont be spending more time in the labs than on the track.
Anyway. The athletes that are usually caught at these events are the ones who are stupid enough to take lower grade and more easily detectable performance enhancers, the smart and top level competitors are getting sh!t that's years and years ahead of the tests that are currently available and they wouldnt be stupid enough to be on a doping cycle at a meet, you know? They probably stop taking it weeks before it begins.

I still can't believe that Phelps won that race against the Serbian guy (Cavic?). If you watch the freeze-frame version, it is insane how much ground Phelps makes up because Cavic coasts to the line rather casually. Phelps was beaten and should've lost but he kept going while Cavic almost stopped just before the end. That made all the difference. They'll lose the protest....if they haven't already!
The numbers don't lie....Michael Phelps is the greatest Olympian of all time.
They've invested heavily in performing well in front of the home crowd.....their goal is to "own" the podium. Second best just isn't good enough for them and they felt that, after a fantastic showing in Athens, they could go still further.i.e. convert some of those non-golds into golds.
As it stands now, they cannot praise a fugitive and cloistered virtue, unexercised and unbreathed, that never sallies out and sees off her adversary, but slinks out of the race where that immortal garland is to be run for, not without dust and heat.
