Nigeria playmaker Jay Jay Augustine Okocha has hinted that he could soon leave Paris Saint-Germain after falling out with the club over the terms of a new deal.

"Maybe it's time for me to leave," he said.

"Although I have no regrets in joining PSG, sometimes you don't get what you deserve during your career," he explained from Mali, where he is on international duty during the African Nations Cup.

Okocha, who signed for PSG four seasons ago from Fenerbahce in a £9 million deal, will be out of contract in June and has been attempting to finalise terms on a new deal for several months without success.

PSG have baulked at the midfielder's wage demands because they do not feel they will be able to afford him should they not qualify for the Champions' League.

"I would love to play in England," Okacha continued. "I will soon be 29 and I don't want to go to England when I'm too old. I always keep an eye on the Premiership, I think it's one of the top competitions in Europe."

PSG coach Luis Fernandez, meanwhile, reiterated his desire to keep the fans' favourite at PSG.

"We all want to keep him," he said. "When he's on the pitch, things work well. After playing in the African Nations Cup and the World Cup he could receive several offers and we don't want to keep him against his will."

Okocha has scored three goals in 12 games this season for PSG who are third in the Championnat level on 34 points with Auxerre, who have two games in hand.

I think it will be the right decision if he quit, because he is 29 and his achievements dosn't show how good he is at all. I think he can do well in the premiership.

I think Liverpool should sign him because they have no creative midfielders that can take on players and set up chances, thay have no flair in the midfield. when the world cup comes clubs are gonna be making bids from everywhere.

Okocha in Inter Milan! They give us Okocha, we give them Farinos, and Padalino with 5$ Million US! I think it would be better for both teams:p

He dosen't belong in in PSG, he is too good for that club. I hope someone can convince Gerrad to get him, because Liverpool are becoming too predictable these days. Its either a ball over the top for Owen or a through pass. Only Jari Litmenan is the creative player and they hardly play him.
