What are the odds that he'll start, are PSV in need of a starting CB or is going to be used as backup?

He'll be our starting DL is my guess. He wont have much decent competition either.

I think he will be a backup at first then he'll lineup next to Alex. Is he good any good ManU2000? be honest lol :p.

In my opinion, he has been our most solid defender in the World Cup. Obviously Rafa was our leader, but I think Salcido plays really well defensively and can push the ball forward. All he needs is some experience.

I'm kinda bummed out he went to PSV. I was looking forward to him taking Sol Campbell's spot in Arsenal, but better than staying in Mexico, I suppose.

Yeah, he is. Good tackler with pace, decent in the air and is good going forward. Has a pretty decent shot from long distance as well.

I was thinking the same thing but I think Wenger would probably go with Senderos and Toure in the middle right now. Granted, Salcido could've had a chance to fight for a starting spot there. I don't know about PSV's situation with their backline but hopefully he'll be given a good opportunity to earn a starting spot.

If he wants to play at DL, he's a definite starter. If he wants to go for DC, he'll have tough competition with Ooijer, and will lose out.

Yeah, you're right. Sanderos played really well in Sol's absence last season. He'll most likely be first choice to take that spot.

On the bright side, it gives me a reason to get PSV's awesome looking jersey. (H)

I second that.! ^^^

PSV just got themeselves a rare jewel.
Salcido is excellent with both feet, and both sides, great on the air, great on one-on-one marking, and loves to attack forward or shoot from long distance.
If he can get his long-passing in better shape, he'll fit great on this team.

In my opinion, he's better than Marquez at the back, Marquez just has that multifunctional quality that makes him a different kind of player.

meh, he talked with Galatasaray and Besiktas respectively, then he thought it'd be better signing for Levante rather than playing Champions League Football..

i actually thought he DID sign with Besiktas...this goes to show you how reliable television is. this is why i dont believe a transfer until they are on the pitch with the team. :)

Portsmouth bought D'Alessandro? I thought they borrowed him from Wolfsburg.
