What I wanted was a LA Kings vs Montreal final with Montreal emerging as winners. Montreal are in trouble though, I think they are exhausted from the nailbiters against Boston, not only did they lose the first two games but they did it on home ice. These things can be turned around but you gotta say the Rangers are odds on. Other game is tighters, Chicago are quality once again, indeed back to back Stanley Cups are not out of the question, but I still marginally give that series to the Kings, setting up rather tasty final clash between the US' two most obnoxiously liberal, pretentious citys, which I would favour the Rangers to win.

EDIT: Of course I may change my prediction in like 3 hours time if Kings lose at home and go 2-0 down.

montreal has won game 3, shitty game for lundqvist and a poorly officiated game with a bad misconduct call on carcillo and a missed call on what should have been a 5 minute major for prust for the cheap shot on stepan as well as 3 missed too many men on the ice calls against montreal.

the rangers would have had 4 more power plays amounting to at least one goal as good as our power play has been this series.

the rangers will win the series, our offense is too good, and all players are meshing well together, and we are too fast for montreal's defense plus our defense is playing very well.

the team's chemistry is better than any of the 4 teams right now as you can tell by lines we send out, every shift has a new mix of players instead of the same stale 4 lines with the same 3 forwards, it is working well.

it will be the rangers and the blackhawks in the finals and will be a good series going 7 games with plenty of overtime games, exciting if you are a true hockey fan.

Yeah was watching the game lastnight and damn those refs were horrible! I seriously hope Rangers can recover from this undeserving loss and get back to it on Sunday. And seriously hope B.Prust gets suspended for that cheap ass hit. Can't believe non of the four refs didn't see it....unbelievable.

Lol really?
1-Did you see that cheap shot they gave back to Prust(Carcillo)...
2-Prust shouldve get a minor on his interference hit I agree. Period
3-Refs were sht during the whole playoffs anyways for both sides. NYR Fans agree with me too ...Period
4-We're in SG why are we talking about hockey here too lol...but Im ok with that :)
5-TOKARSKI OMGGGGGGGGGGG!!!! What a performance...next HALAK2K10 or Dryden right here baby
6- how is the misconduct call on carcillo considered bad? He was abusing the ref with his elbows and will get a 3-10-20 game suspension automatically + he will get a phone from Campbell like Prust will with Quintal ...but you should be aware that Carcillo had way many suspensions before
7- ....3 missed too many men on the ice calls against montreal....What? Never saw them what the heck you are talking about...you look butthurt here.....plus Mcdonagh gave 2 slashes to Gallagher(one on a breakaway) and refs did nothing too....referees in Game 1 and 2 were awful against Montréal with that Hagelin trip call that led to their third goal....let's be real and admit that referees in both sides were completly awful ....I have friends and family from New York that were angry about that as well but they told me that we got the same bad calls as well so it's pretty even..
8-Penality Kill was good during that game....Habs and Tokarski were killing it so PPs wouldnt work as 100% sure.
9-Habs will win because of Tokarski, we have a team with full confidence now that beat the Boston Bruins huh?
10-Chicago and Los Angeles are way too good as of right now so don't be that cocky and confident and say that the rangers has the best ever yay....
11-It will be the NYR and Hawks and that series will finish in 7......C'MON dude the NYR-Habs series made a beggining with Tokarski on fire....no way you could predict something in advance
12-Anything can happen in the playoffs , We're hoping for the 25th, In Tokarski we trust, GO HABS GO
13- You mad bro?

Edit : Carcillo gets 10, fair enough.....Prust gets 2...hmm I need some explanations from Quintal because it doesn't make sense since Stepan wasn't injured and the hit wasn't with the elbow....the problem was the referees that shouldve give an interference penalty there, that is it

I like this - some real hockey analysis.

Montreal did well the make this series interesting, the result of the next game is very, very important - if Montreal can tie it up heading back to Quebec, we could be looking at going all the way to game 7.

For the record, I agree that the Rangers have the best team chemistry and the best overall discipline, though the west coast teams have more star-studded rosters.

I still stand by my call that the Kings will get past the Blackhawks.

1. yea, it's called payback.
2. yea, he should have and if they would have called it, that carcillo suspension would have never happened.
3. they have been shitty, but too many missed calls is poor, missing one or two but 6 or 7 in a game, ridiculous.
4. i'll talk hockey anywhere.
5. he played well, but not that well, we had many chances to score and hit the glass, if those shots were on target it was a 6-2 game.
6. it is bad because the ref should have called the penalty that led to the fighting, why is he grabbing on carcillo when dorsett and prust are fighting, the ref was worried about the wrong player/s.
7. don't know how you didn't see them, even the commentators spoke on it.
i don't want to hear about mcdonagh when pk subban hasn't been called for any of his dirty play throughout the series so far.
butt hurt, lets see 2 beat downs and you get 2 garbage goals to get a lucky win, especially when you let us tie it up with less than 30 seconds left in the game.
lets not pretend the rangers aren't dominating the habs, because we are.
8. pk was ok, if the calls were made we'd have had more pps and most likely would have scored 1, game one we had 3 pp goals and game 2 2 pp goals.
9. no, tokarski will not win you the series, you beat the bruins, we beat the pens down 3 games to 1 playing 6 games in 9 nights.
10. the blackhawks and kings play well, but that doesn't mean anything, we are playing just as well.
11.tokarski is 1-1, he is no lundqvist, rinne type goalkeeper, we will see what happens game 4.
12. this isn't the late 50's and early 60's your domination is 4 decades gone and you haven't been relevant since 93.
13. you mad bro, people still say that corny shit ?
no i'm not mad, i'm smiling with a 2-1 series lead going into a 4th game with the rangers being the better team at the moment.

so 10 is fair for carcillo, but only 2 for prust whose dirty hit which was not only interference but up high to the chest/face area which resulted in stepan's jaw being broken.
so 10 for a mere scuffle with an official and only 2 for a cheap shot which ended up an injury to a player.

Kings take game three and take the series lead 2-1. They clearly were the better team and I would be surprised if they don't win this series, by the way they are playing.

What do you expect from a Quebecois team? :borat:

i expect them to play a little better and make this a series it should be.

we played badly last night, lundqvist was beaten on a shot top shelf he should have saved.
our offense was horrible, again having opportunities at open nets and missing the target.

the habs played a bit better than we did, which may have been due to all the penalties we were taking, their
power play struggled and gave up a short handed goal.

all i hear about is this tokarski kid, i just don't see were they see him as the goalkeeper to save them.
he either plays so far out of his crease or too deep in his goal, fact is our 2nd goal was because he was so far out of his crease.
he gives up more rebounds than any nba team playing the bulls when they had rodman, he is lucky his defense was able to clean up the garbage
in front of the net or we would have scored 7 goals.

give price the chance in game 5 if you want an attempt at playing a game 6.

Hmmm Pouliot,Brassard,Vigneault and St.Louis....yeah they were great for the Rangers so far unfortunly....

+ Habs got Therrien,Bournival,Desharnais and Briere so the amount of QCers is pretty even..

Game 4 = Tokarski was solid but let 3 goals in 4 breakways  ....Defense was messed up and Habs weren't playing great especially Vanek....to be honest Price wouldve saved all of them because he was great on breakaways lately with the Bolts and Bs and he's bigger than Tokarski....but In Tokarski We Trust! Anything can happen so if you guys came back against the Pens from 3-1 to eventually win the series in 7 games, Why can't we do it? Since Price was injured, we are considered the underdogs....and at Home, Habs will battle hard (Hope so) and then we'll see....

Galchenyuk hit the crossbar with 5min left in the 3rd and if that went in, it
would be a 2-2 series(completly different you know)...

I like the fact that the games are pretty close now....and 2OTs in a row too is quite exciting....and makes you nervous too...

Dat Bouillon shot though was great for a 38 Veteran that rarely scores...that guy deserves a lot of credit for what he has done with the Habs like Gorges too who, for me, shouldve been the Captain over Gionta

Still Makes me furious that Gainey traded Gomez for McDonagh what the f___

Habs were awful in the beggining of the game....especially in the PowerPlays....horrific...but after they managed to stay in the offensive zones, it was ok and Subban managed to score a Bullet.

Tokarski did well once again if we exclude the breakaway goals...because seriously...where were the defensemans during NYR's goals? Emelin was watching Marty on his OT winner  ....It would be a bad Idea to Put Price injured back on because you saw in game 1 what happened after his collision with stupid Kreider...2 weak quick goals at the end of the period that you he can save easly and with ease..... By the way, I noticed that Lundqvist is the one who makes tons of rebounds, Tokarski is able to keep them, but what Henrik can do despite this problem is control the rebounds, so in other words, he can give a certain "redirection" in the area that he wants so that guys in front of him(Gallagher who has been really good with DD so far) won't be able to get another shot and eventually get a chance to score....

Also how did you like Tokarski's windmill save on Marty? :shades: Great stuff from the kid! I think that he'll replace Budaj soon as a backup for us....backup

bouillon's shot was perfect, nice goal and the play that led up to it was nice, i knew once that pass came to him he was going to score.

lundqvist should have saved that, he wasn't square and that's why it got passed him.

that trade was great for us, it is no different with us with the st. louis/callahan trade, st. louis is helping us now but his playing time remaining in his career compared to callahan's is very short.

tokarski's save on st. louis was nice but i must say that if st. louis wasn't in so close and had just a bit more space he wouldn't have put it into his glove,
the shot literally had no where to go but into his glove.

as far as rebounds go, tokarski gave up a lot last night, if your defense wasn't where they were supposed to be, st. louis and kreider both would have had goals.

That trade was just awful....Gomez got 1 goal after 60+games or I dont remember and he was benched sometimes, in the fourth line, was getting 5Million $ per year and Gainey gave you guys McDonagh who got 7pts in 4 games so far....... Worst trade ever and it's goin' in one side, period.

Callahan and St.Louis' trade was great for both teams....both performed well in the season and playoffs with their new team and that is why Callahan got a contact extension....St.Louis may or may not retire soon...but anyways, he's still a stud despite his age....if he ends up FA....He'll be with MTL instead of Vanek in the fourth line lol, because he's a Laval guy(near Montréal)....But I don't think so because you guys came far in the playoffs because of him especially...

Hope to see a miracle from my Habs and get a win at Home to make this series go to game 7...Price is skating lately but without his Equipment...so we never know if he can make a comeback before/after a possible game 7.

Go Habs Go!
