Voice in Turin say that there are 2 important clauses in Mutu's contract:

1) Mutu must pass periodically, without warning psycho/physical tests.

2) If Mutu gets tested for drugs or other banned substances he has to pay Juventus a fee for damage of image or whatever they call it.

Ouch might not work out if these things are part of it, I would guess he does it pretty often :(.

.....or, the juventus board wants to make sure he doesnt do it at all while at juve.
doesnt mean he still does it and he shouldnt because he is in therapy i believe.

He was caught doing it again at some party in Romania a while back :( I have doubts about this.

well if he is stupid enough to do it while he is getting tested almost every day, then he can go to roma and cassano can come to us (H)

Yep

Since his dismissal for gross misconduct Mutu, who has also played for Inter Milan, has been undergoing a drug education and rehabilitation programme.

the Juve environment will straighten him out.

Besides the risk is minimal. They haven't paid a dime for him; and he gets a very average salary.

We all know what he is capable of. There are many players who do coke but don't get caught. Juve are ready to give him a lifeline. Hopefully he makes use of it.

btw, Chelsea can dream on about whatever compensation they are hoping for. They fired him; Juve signed him. Chelsea will get exactly $ 0 in return.

They are caring. Roman is a businessman. If you know their kind, they won't spend a dime without something in return let alone 20 Million Euros. Don't expect Abramovich to keep splashing cash ever season. Making a profit of 20 Million is a tough task in itself.

Chelsea shoul have been smarter. Making an example and sacking Mutu is fine for the press and stuff; but very juvenile when it comes to the money involved. Not only did they pay that huge fee for him but he was one of their highest earners if not the highest.

They should have made it public that he had failed a drug test but held on to him. They could have transfer listed him - Many clubs would have been willing to pay at least 4-5 Million in May after his ban came to an end.

anyway, Moggi is a smart man. You can't even call this a bargain.. its a steal (Y)

PS: Peruzzi tested positive for coke and was banned before Juve signed him. He served his ban and then served the club wonderfully well. Juve will deal with Mutu in the same way.
