I still don't know why the Neonazis like the imperial flags so much, didn't the original Nazis hate monarchy?

About the game, we were great in the 1st half, but then the players started to act arrogant and let the Slovaks come back in to the game.

No they didn't, they just were controlling the game as they had to. As soon as Slovakia scored we answered accordingly. I actually liked the way we entered the secodn half We were a team conscious of having a 3 goal lead.

That Klose-Podolski partnership is working wonders for the team. It would be cool to see them do it at club level as well, maybe for Bayern sometime in the not too distant future

But the Irish holding the Czechs makes this result all that much better, if Germany can carry this momentum they should breeze through to the Euros without too many issues.

Haha, well anyway joking aside, Germany have started well, key match will be the return leg against us in Dublin, or even against Wales in Cardiff as you'll have to beat the fans. You can beat the teams no bother but the fans won't be so easy.

Klose has to say that. If he came out and said "Bayern are committed to buying me next summer and I want to go" he would get booed at every home game. I wouldn't read too much into comments like those.

I love Germany. Knocking the ball around with a big lead is pure German soccer. No need to run up the score, just keep posession. That's the way I learned to play.

Bremen aren't selling him to Bayern that's the problem. He will either extend at Bremen or move to a foreign top club like Barcelona.

Wales got their asses handed to them by the mighty Slovakians in Cardiff. Ireland are gonna have to fight to finish third as Slovakia imo will get six points off the three bottom feeders San Marino, Cyprus and Wales. The top two are way out of reach.

Kaiser: We're the best in Europe


German legend Franz Beckenbauer has heaped praise on the current national team following their convincing 4-1 win in Slovakia.

An impressive first-half showing laid the foundation for the victory in Bratislava on Wednesday, and the Kaiser now thinks that Joachim Low's team is the best in Europe.

"I wouldn't like to talk of winning Euro 2008, as it's much too early for that," he told Bild.

"But on the other hand I see how other major nations are struggling and at the moment we are miles ahead of the rest.

"Everything has just clicked into place and you can feel the joy that our players are experiencing playing for their country."

Beckenbauer added that he felt that the team could become even better under Low's leadership.

"We are playing at a constantly high level - we haven't seen performances like this for many years.

"I think we could get even better. At the World Cup we presented a real will to win and now we have managed to move up a level as far as skill is concerned."

Watched the Mainz and Aachen game today, very impressed with Schlaudraff. With a bit quiet in the first half when both teams were being tight but once Mainz started going forward, he was very dangerous. Great footwork.
